fortune_p_dawg: Ugh... I love Desura and it drives me CRAZY when the devs act like the DRM-free Desura releases of their games are neutered monstrosities. As if removing the DRM were like taking rusty scissors to the games testicles, they just abandon them.
Sounds like the Revenge of the Titans dev. He actually removed the game from sale on Desura because it made him very little money (and he hadn't even been paid, apparently?) and Desura was too complicated to deal with. He also said the only platform where he makes money is Steam. And he doesn't seem to care about GOG.

Hmm. This is the first game bundle since I started buying them with IV that absolutely doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. The only games I'm at all interested in I already own either from here or from other bundles.

They'd better add something REALLY spectacular next week if they want my money.

Seems reasonable from my perspective.

Fictionvision: So from the start, they knowingly sold a version they weren't going to support. If they knew they weren't going to bother supporting the DRM free version any further they could have disabled those. Instead they leave them as a nice "Oh hey, you bought the wrong version of the game! Re-buy it here so you can buy more DLC from us!"

SimonG: But don't you get the Steam keys with the DRM free version? It was the case with the bundle and many developers give out Steam keys for free, as they don't cost the devs any.
You did if you bought it in Indie Royale, but not if you buy direct from Desura.

I'd guess the same will happen with the versions in HiB7 as the game apparently keeps having rapid updates. They will let it languish behind to get everyone using the steam version in hopes to sell more DLC. Kind of like how THQ did. (May they rest in peace.)

Unless you bought the game from Desura and you won't receive any updates there, ever.

Kristian: How much did you guys go for and how did you distribute it? I went in for $35, with around $14-15 going towards charity and the rest to the developers, with a Humble tip of $0.00. Made it count towards the Linux average.
in the past I've done about 27%dev 58 charity 5 hib

all I've heard of is grimrock and dungeon defenders. are the others good or should buy just for grimrock?(or should i get grimrock here for 45 more cents to keep my games more condensed on gog)

Ask him for a Steam key. That is the least he should do. Or a refund.
Just bought this coming in from work and haven't even bought all of GOG's sales that I'm in interested in yet.

So. Many. Gaaaaaaaaames.

Seriously, considering Steam's sale should start fairly soon as well, this is madness.

It is worth the price for Grimrock alone if you don't already have it. The first Shank was ok. If you like games like Final Fight or Streets of Rage it might interest you. Binding of Isaac is a repeat but it has the new DLC with it this time. The game is a bit like the original Legend of Zelda, however if you don't like gross humor, you probably won't like it. Snapshot and Closure look ok from Youtube videos. Never played Dungeon Defenders.

From the games I have played I'd say its worth beating the average if you don't have any of them.
SHANK 2 AND SNAPSHOT?! I'm gonna make sweet love to this shit.
Fairly uninteresting bundle... I must say.

Yup.

I need more indie games I will never play like I need a fucking hole in the head.
Have Binding of Isaac (man this is one ugly game!!)
Have LOG (via GOG - awesome)
Have Dungeon Defenders (via Steam - gets boring fast)
Only reason to get it for me is Closure,Shank 2 and Snapshot (im quite surprised its in the bundle). Pass on the indie movie. Im actually what HB has up their sleeve for other bonuses/games... average to unlock is now $6.16 for DD and LOG

Btw why do they always use the same charities? Why not switch them around like save the whales or pandas or something?

Please note: this bundle contains six Linux and two Mac debuts!

kodeen: Pity that HIB doesn't have the leverage to force this anymore, what with them selling their souls to THQ and everything.
LOL
