Foxhack: It kinda sucks since I wanted to give my extra copies to a friend of mine but oh well.

Pheace: You could just be nice and spend a dollar for him :)
He wasn't interested in the whole bundle. Maybe when I get paid I'll give him a BTA one anyway. :P

Idlusen: First thought: “Where are the DRM-free Linux versions of these games?”
Second thought: “Bah, bar SR3, which of these did I ever want anyway?”

I'm so disappointed. I hope it doesn't turn into an habit.

PS: the first thought is ironic, I do not expect these to go DRM-free, let alone Unix.
If you're angry that this doesn't include Mac / Linux versions, you can do what I did and donate everything to charity. That's what I've been doing for the past Steam-only HBs.

I've bought it, but I almost feel disappointed. Metro 2033 and Saint's Row the Third I already have from the THQ bundle. And I don't play a lot of those games anyway. I've mainly bought this bundle for Risen 2 (but has no DLCs) and maybe Risen (if it indeed will be added). Just as I've bought the THQ bundle for Titan Quest and Warhammer 40000.

Khadgar42: Yeah, I get that a lot. Your not the only one not understanding the JuSchG (the laws protecting minors)

I blame Angie for a lot of things, but the censorship by the JuSchG and the Bundesprüfstelle isn't one of them.
As an adult I'm entitled to posess, play and buy any game (or media) from Index list A. Most of the games aren't bad enough to be on the List B which gets a tad more complicated.
Other Titles I can import from Austria, or the UK for my private use and it's not illegal to do so.

But STEAM is the asshole-company not allowing me to play those games because they don't care if I'm an adult and if I'm entitled to buy the games from Index list A or even buy them from UK to install and them in Germany.

Ergo, it's Steam fault.

Just wanted to say this is fundamentally all correct. Saints Row 3 and Dead Island are both List A titles that can be bought and used perfectly legally in uncut form within Germany.

Dead Island: Riptide hasn't even been blacklisted yet, so not sure where it leaves that one (basically Deep Silver could still openly sell it in Germany).

Saints Row 2 is the exception though. It has actually been placed on List B and banned in its uncut form, although a 'ban' (Beschlagnahmung) in this context affects sale, not ownership. A ban has been imposed on selling the game within Germany, but gamers are still permitted to import the game and keep it for personal use.

You're right, but I'd still rather donate directly than support Steam-Windows only bundles.

I hope he's referring to other threads because Amok's posts seem perfectly reasonable in this one.

No, he's a troll because he derails every single thread with this bullshit and feels the need to smugly mention that he annoyed the GOG staff into submission every single day like some snotty-nosed teacher's-pet schoolkid.

"You broke the rules, I'm telling on you!"

It's childish beyond belief, and he only does it to feel important.

Hey, why don't apply for a chief executive position at Steam, you seem to be far better qualified than them.

jepsen1977: How is it Steam's fault that the German government is retarded? Valve is just following German law like they must, so don't blame Steam but blame the idiotic Angela Merkel and all that voted for her.

JMich: Germany allows the selling of Uncut versions of games to adults, in the same way that pornography is available. Steam doesn't allow the redemption of uncut serials in Germany, even when legally bought. Is that Germany's fault or Steam's?
Steam actually does make a criminal offence by doing this, as they do not have a reliable age verification. They don't really care about hose "youth protection laws", but they sure as hell won't act against the criminal code.
How's the co-op aspect in Saints Row: The Third? I bought this game a while ago in a sale, but it's still in my backlog. I heard it's quite funny, but how is the multiplayer? I might convince a friend to buy it now it's on the Humble Bundle with all DLCs.

Shit. I have to agree with you. Now you've ruined my day.

Edit: Although that being said, supplying a game that is on List A (Saints Row 3) with sufficent age verification would not be a criminal offense in any way, shape or form. Games that aren't 'banned' fall under the scope of the JuSchG and RStV.

Well, I guess I can throw a dollar to charity for Risen 2. Dammit, now I've already spent 2$ on Steam titles in my entire life. I'm getting sloppy.

O RLY?

How was that with unrated ( as in not presented) games in Germany. Please, enlighten us. Are they really "free for all".... ?
I see this topic is going places like the THQ bundle did.

For people looking for something to get upset over with steam keys, here you go:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PC-Dead-Island-Rip-Tide-Saints-Row-2-3-PLUS-MORE-Steam-Keys-/300941823260

Someone reselling the keys from the bundle for $44
Having to wait until payday really sucks.. I see like, 3 bundles I want to buy and I have to sit here and wait until I get paid. I hope nothing goes up more than I want to pay! :o
