Instabought. Perfect chance for me to finally grab Vessel and Dustforce.

The icing on the cake is that the average was only ~$5.

Gazoinks: If anyone has a spare SPAZ key or is interested in trading for Neighbors From Hell 2, would be cool. :)
The HiB only have "complete keys", not separate entries.

Well, sort of. True to its usual setup, it has a key for all the "regular bundle" games, and a key for the "beat the average" game(s)
I HATE the fact that no one accepts my national card(debt)... damn it!
And still i try.... ;p
I'm not interested in any of those games, but i did like the last bundle.
Anyone a little irked by Torchlight being in there? It's explicitly not an indie game at all (Runic is owned by Perfect World, which also publishes). The real sticking point is that it feels a bit like a cheap marketing gimmick for Torchlight 2, which comes out in two days. Will they sell more Torchlight 2 copies because of this? Probably.

I mean, Torchlight is a swell game and all, but there's a lot of indie games out there that would kill for the kind of exposure in a Humble Bundle so it rubs me the wrong way.

EDIT: Just noticed Elenarie's post. I don't feel that strongly about it, but still.

And yes, I would have a huge problem with SLP2000's suggested bundle if they tried to use the term indie. It's not just a word, it would be like a bundle of RPG games calling itself an FPS bundle just because.

Oh, right. Every time a HiB comes around I forget how it works. >.>

I disagree. The indie bundle has burst. "indie" has no meaning anymore (maybe shitty "hardcore"/ "oldschool" platformer or tower defense game).

Nowadays the indie scene is exactly like the mainstream gaming industry of the late '90s. Just a factory of producing half assed copies of successful ideas to make money as quick and fast as possible.

SLP2000: Would you really have something against Assassins Creed 2 / Civilization 5 / Dishonored / Fallout NV PWYW, DRM-free cross platform bundle?
Nope, but I wouldn't like it if they label the games humble and indie.

I view it more as a marketing tool, honestly. All of the bundles so far have had at least one really big game in them, and other less well-known games. The draw of the bigger game gets people to buy the bundle, and the smaller games get more exposure. Hell, even shopping malls are set up this same exact way. Department or grocery stores bring people in so that the other shops can get more business. Torchlight is a pretty big cornerstone, of course, but perhaps the HIB folks are taking the indie definition of "everything that's not AAA."

I think the focus of being only "true" indie games was officially tossed out the window when Psychonauts made it into HiB5. No matter the state of Majesco at the time, the game did have a fairly major commercial release before and it made it in.

At this point I look at it as a group of good games you can get on the cheap and DRM free.

To be fair, Torchlight was made by Runic pre-Perfect World involvement, when they were very much indie, and given that Torchlight 2 is coming out, and they raved about the Torchlight MMO forever between TL1 and TL2, I think it's fair to say that not much development happened on TL1 post-release.

As much as I agree with this statement, there's also the fact that for as many indies would kill to get that exposure in a Humble Bundle, there are exponentially less people who would kill to buy their game in a Humble Bundle.
I can't believe it. I put 5$ and apparently I had some trouble making the payments so the average had time enough to rise to 5.11$ so I didn't get Dustforce.

Is the buy redeemable? I would like to redo this so I get Dustforce.

On other thand, I just redeemed them on my steam account so I guess not..

Yeah, I would have a huge problem too... if I couldn't buy it :P

I think HIB stopped being about giving exposure to unknown indie games and more about bundling already successful games starting with #4. I don't mind though, I like getting good games for little money.
