I recently joined and see free games in my library that I have no interest in. How can I delete them from there?
you can hide them but you can't "Delete" them
Kind of odd that you cant delete them. Thanks though.
Hiding them is basically the same as deleting them except that you can bring them back if you change your mind later. If you really don't want that option you can always contact support and ask them to remove certain games.

It's not really odd. There's a small minority that wants to remove them for whatever reason. I'd be shocked if the amount of time they spend dealing with that would be less than how much time they'd spend undeleting games for people that didn't mean to do it.

And I don't think there is any DD service that lets you delete games.

I hide them and they are dimmed but still visible. Just mildly annoying. Sorry. Scratch that. They are hidden now that the page has reloaded.

Steam and Desura both let you remove games from your account; you have to ask Steam support, but you can remove a game from your Desura lib yourself.

edit: oh sorry, didn't realize the date on this post.

Or people who get in a fight with their friend or whoever and have their GOG account credentials saved in their web browser and the friend vindictively goes in their account and deletes all of their games inconveniencing the person and putting a burden on GOG support to undo it later. :)

Or even some malicious web browser addon, greasemonkey script or similar that someone gets tricked into installing and running without knowing it is happening...

Me neither. Just got burned 20 minutes ago on another post too. Changin my name to SkeleNecroBow, has a nice ring to it and apparently it grants me the ability to kill kittens or something, what's not to love about that!

Consolation prize: time spent having fun is not wasted ^^ Er, tenuous definition of fun, but all the same!

Yeah, that's kind of how I see it too mostly. :) The kitten part is just the icing on the cake!
