Helwooks: Most games you find here are on Steam, true they don't Steam keys but so what? And there are games that are not DRM-free, they might include a cd-key which you have to use to actually be able play the game or register an account.

HypersomniacLive: Would be so kind as to give us the full list of these games?
witcher 2? except it has no drm in gog version..

Trailer looks great btw.

tinyE: I'm curious myself. I have over 300 titles here and have haven't once needed a cd-key or to register. If by DRM you mean the computer has to be turned on to play them then I grant you that. :D
Some don't have some have, some need it for multiplayer like Sacrifice, and some have a different kind of drm like Ultima ( don't remember which Ultima games needed ) which you have to enter words from the manual.

XD - +1.

On a serious note, I'm genuinely curious which games a GOG user from as back as 2008 has found to be DRM-ed.

Then again, it might just be one of those odd days - in another thread a GOG user registered in 2010 asked for a Steam key for TW3.

Helwooks: As I don't have the full list of games from GoG nor have time but like Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition if you have bought the game select it form your library it will show you a serial number which you can use, for other games you just have to read it from wikipedia or from somewhere else.
That serial number is usually for the Multiplayer. I am sure the single player is DRM-free.
Now after watching the video I see you have bugs with lasers and lizards with primitive weapons. What do you have against Lizards? And why doesn't the lizard have an attack where he flicks his tongue out to eat some of those bugs? You could even have him spit out the bug armor. I'd rather play as the lizards as I hate bugs, but there will be some that enjoy the game.

Any new DRM-free game will be welcome here on GOG, and it is probably a good time to release one with the proposed new GOG Galaxy Client on it's way.

SkydomeHive: Yes, we would love to bring it on GoG if the staff supports it!

HypersomniacLive: You are aware that GOG.com does not sell Steam keys and that a game needs to be 100% truly DRM-free to be sold on GOG.com, right?
We dont support DRM either. If people want to pirate the game instead of supporting small developers. Then its your choise. DRM just hurts paying customers and it wont stop people from downloading the game from Piratebay.

I'm sure everyone could afford the price. It's not 69,99€ or anything.

I'm very-very glad to hear you say this, you'll feel right at home at GOG. :-)
One more thing - is any Steamworks stuff used? If yes, that would lead to a "dirty" DRM-free standalone version of the game - I've seen a number of those on Humble Bundle, feels like cracked Steam versions.

Oh, and I've watched the video - though not really my cup of tea, it looks very promising. I do however dig the music a lot, so kudos on both fronts. Is the music being licensed, i.e. will it be sold separately?

Hey dont blame me, im doing a whole ancient kingdom for the lizards to enjoy, they are the ones not wanting to share and play nice with others!

That "Lazer" is temp effect, we have something nicer for it in the future.

SkydomeHive: Hey, we would love to get player feedback on our upcoming game Hive.
Very nice beggining. It sure puts you in the underground atmosphere.
I really liked the lava river.
Maybe I would suggest a bigger variety of ambient colors, as everyplace seems to have shades of blue.
Also I saw the digger-bug digging and it seemed out of place to me.
It's like it's digging on the air and suddenly a block of earth just out of reach disappears.

The game is still at early alpha stage, currently the miner is way too far where he runs the animation. Position should be easy to fix in the future.

Yeah i agree that the blue shady underground tone is eating a lot of the colors. We are going to have different world light on every map and there will be alot of variety in the 13 maps in singleplayer campaign. For example 3rd level will be on Edens surface that are covered with deserts.

Helwooks: This looks interesting, I noticed on steam that this game is coming to pc and mac but as it's made on unity is it possible that it's also coming to linux?
Yes, we would love that. It's pretty easy since Unity supports linux too.

Phew, this seems to be the last question i need to answer, poke me if i missed any!

We are currently not using any of the Steamworks features. If there is going to be multiplayer, we need some kind of cd-key feature or other way to stop hackers from ruining the multiplayer experiance for others.

Thanks for the reply.

I hope that the current approach (no Steamworks) won't change in the future.

Could you, please, also answer my question about the music?

Hey, from what i have learned, creator of the music Mikael Immonen does not want any profits from the music, so we could release free soundtrack afterwards if people show interest.

Hey!

I love the look of the game, I think it is a fabulous idea to have insects in the game.

I was wondering is there going to be other races/species you can play with? Like in the cinematic where there was humans that landed on this new planet, can you play with them for example?

This game reminds me a lot of Starcraft 2. Mining looked a bit like in Dungeon keeper, but it doesn't really look like the mining can be effective in the game the way it currently is. Miner seemed to mine a block rather fast, and the blocks were huge so is there going to be a problem with getting resources via mining because of it (running out of minable blocks)?

Do you have any approximate date when the game is going to be released?

Good luck with the game I sure hope you will get it published soon, there isn't enough RTS games :).
