Hi everybody,

i'm new user and i got some questions about games.
first one, are the games that we bought just a digital copy or boxed original cds?(if these are just digital copy, can we buy boxed ones with extra payment?)
and second one, is there any way to play this hame on MAC OSX leopard or newer.
This question / problem has been solved by klaymenimage
1 - digital copy without any option to buy boxed.
2 - check the threads in the HoMM section, there are some of them concerning Macs.

Hello there and welcome to the site!

The games that you boy on this site are all digital copies that sometimes have extra stuff with them (you can see that on the bar that says: "Bonus content included for FREE with purchase)". From what I know there is no way of actually getting a physical copy of a game from this site, try going on Amazon or Ebay for a sort of cheap physical copy.

It says what the games are compatible with if you look at the page for the game, those are the operating software that has been proven to work on, sometimes others can also work but there is no guarantee that they are stable. For Heroes of Might and Magic III I don't think there is any Mac support (from what I've seen most games don't have mac support). You could always google something like "Heroes of Might and Magic III for Mac" and see if you get any good answers. You can also look on that games specific forum on this site to see if you can find any information.

Good luck!

Thanks, but as you can i'm from Turkey and Amazon or Ebay don't serve my country. Some products are allowed to ship to Turkey on amazon but they want huge cargo prices, like 29$, in my country some families live 2 weeks with this money.
You don't get "just" a digital copy. You get a copy that you can download from wherever you are, for as long as GOG exists, that has its copy protection legally removed, that you can store safely at home with no need to "activate" it anywhere when you want to reinstall it, and that has extras that weren't even included in the boxed copy (soundtrack, creature tables).

You do not get a box and CDs though. First of all, the original CDs had copy protection, and GOG is all about DRM-free games that _don't_ entail the hassles of activation, disc checks, and the like. Second, GOG is selling globally, and even if they tried to look for options to sell CDs, the price inflation needed to make worldwide mail orders workable would be astronomic (and providing them for just a part of the world would, again, violate GOG's shop ethics of treating customers equally around the globe). Third, no "original boxes" of this game have veen produced for years, so where should they come from? There were a couple of cheap releases in DVD sleeves in the past years, but if you just want something to look nice on your shelf, then it's actually the better option to buy it here from GOG, and use the DVD sleeve prints that you download from here (we had a thread here that collected them, someone can surely find it if you're interested). :)

You can't buy boxed copies, but you can burn the installers and whatnot on dvds, and if you have fancy equipment, you can print stuff on the dvds. If you are good with your hands, you can even make a personal game box out of some random banana cardboard box or something :)

You can find an unofficial GOG Covers List here:

Then it can be quite difficult to actually get a physical copy, but as Psyringe said: "You get a copy that you can download from wherever you are, for as long as GOG exists". If you are just craving for a physical copy then I suggest going to supermarkets or electronic stores bargain bins, there they usually have quite good old games for a cheap price. Otherwise you could try on services like Amazon or Ebay that exist in your country (I'm not from Turkey so I have no clue what those might be).
Regarding Macs: You might be interested in the VCMI project, an open-source rewrite of the HoMM3 engine that could be ported to Macs (it may already have been, I don't know). The project is not complete yet, but well on its way.

I also found a Tutorial for running Homm3 on a Mac, and a supposedly improved one here. Not sure if its applicable for your OS though.

Unfortunately, there's no option to buy boxed games here. You can still buy it elsewhere, if you prefer to have them in your shelves. Resonance, for example, is sold here (digital version), but you can buy the collector's edition here (boxed game), if you're willing to pay more.
I love those Unofficial Covers. Thank you so much, guys. Now i can make my own old-game collection with gog.com. And i can collect them if i burn it on Dvd's. My Shelf gonna cry when it sees my new collection. :D
.does these digital copies provide online gaming, right ? i don't want to get a issue about that.

I tried that, but the results were bad. Maybe I used the wrong type of paper.
