Yeah, I have no idea what just happened. :-)
Congratulations, though!

wanderer_27: Yeah, the second part makes sense, but I still don't see the logic/pattern for the first part .
If there was 1C in first 4 columns then the number from the row was in first in third block of code so in fact 9th. 4C was 12th, 1A first and so on.
Very creative solution, although I join the group of "not understanders of the first step".
Am I the only person who gets the first part, but not the second part?

In the first part, look for letters A, B, C or D, and numbers 1-4.

e.g. M 6 1 C => 1C

This gives you the position of the letter (that you'll find out in part 2, "D" in this case) in Block1, C position: (ABCD), which in the code is: 4FDU-5MZU-6UQE-9Q9N.

ggf162: Am I the only person who gets the first part, but not the second part?
For part 2: Look for numbers 6-8 in the first four characters. In the following example, it's a 6. The last four digits of a row correspond to position 6-8 (as there are 8 characters in a row, position 1-8). In the example below, position 6 gives you a "D".

M 6 1 C => 9 D M H

One final set of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., no games, no puzzles, no bs.

I hope you enjoy it, because again, I can't thank you enough for all of the pleas for help I've gotten answered here. You guys rock.

Thank you so much for the giveaways and the puzzles OldFatGuy, I tried to solve it but my brain got short circuited in the process. I did manage to redeem this code so I can't thank you enough for your amazing generosity, big +rep. :)

Too bad I never made it, would have been a nice birthday gift. :)

Thanks for the giveaway. I tried, but a birthday is always a bit too distracting I guess. :)
Congrats DeMignon, well done indeed!

And thanks one more time OldFatGuy!!
All this happened while I was taking a nap ;p

I saw this, but wasn't fast enough. The curious thing is that I thought you would do that...

Thank you for the puzzle. Although I was not able to solve it, I had quite some fun with the challenge involved in trying.
And thank you too for the extra key drop. Even if I was to late to get it , it was a very nice gesture for all of us who weren't quick enough with our puzzle-solving skills.
Kudos to you sir.

Thanks again, your generosity blows my mind. Have another +1, OldFatGuy. These were great ideas for GAs.
I just bought the Stalker pack now, couldn't hold out any longer.

DeMignon: Letters 1-4
Letters 1-4 huh? Stopped reading right there.

Well, congrats man. You put in the effort, so you deserve it.

Definitely a lot more difficult than the first contest. At least that one made sense, haha..
