He really was asking for that. And I happened to have a game code lying around that I didn't want.

It's at times like this I wish my sarcasm detector wasn't defective. (I honestly can't tell if you're being serious or not here....:\...)

My original post was just me being silly (hence the XD smiley), in case anyone is genuinely upset at me over this. If I upset anyone I apologize.

people should be forced to use a smilie when they are sarcastic.

Yes, all nuances & intentions behind one's words should be described in excruciating detail when posting. Smilies, footnotes, etc......all should be used. ;)

(In all seriousness, though, I try to post in a way that my words aren't taken the wrong way. For me this includes using similes to indicate when i'm being less than serious so people don't take what I said too harshly/in the wrong way. Yes, it doesn't always work(and what I say is still misconstrued by some.), but other than posting in an insanely detailed manner as described above, I see no other alternatives when posting things that could potentially be taken the wrong way....short of not posting them at all, anyways.)
I'll second using Adblock and NoScript. I used to get the occasional virus every few months just from malicious banner ads and the like, but I haven't gotten a single once since I installed those. Based on the created/modified times of the files, I'm pretty sure a couple of them were from normally legitimate sites. One of them definitely came from TVTropes, for instance. Prevention is key!

I tried redeeming it to see what it was before remembering that adding codes auto adds a game to your account.

(Also in retrospect the "We aren't?" line[Me trying to be even more silly to get everyone ] should've been something more like "I'm sorry if I painted you in a bad light. I was just trying a silly little joke which(sadly) backfired.

To ALL: I was only kidding when I called Lugum a moocher....Lugum is one of the most non-mooching people I know. His giveaways recently in the Ninja Thread and elsewhere prove that in spades."
)

I'm sorry, once again, if I made you feel bad in my misguided attempt to crack a smile on people's faces.

Well I am glad. BTW I am offended by only one thing you do....I hope you don't mind if I admit it though.

It is this: Why no bloody capitalization of you sentences? :p

:D
I think sometimes it takes away half of the fun of a jest when you declare it as one immediately after. ;)

Still, there's always the risk of misunderstandings and people being offended, especially in an environment like the internet.

Anyway, from my point of view Gamerager and lugum are heroes for giving me a motivation to support charity and the guys behind the Adventure bundle which had a very slow start unfortunately and doesn't seem to be the success they were hoping it would be. :)

hedwards: I'm with you on that, unless of course the OP can figure out a way of getting me the time and stamina to play through my backlog. Which is presently over a hundred games. :-P
How about assigning them as homework to your students, then let them summarize the most important things or provide you with savegames for the more interesting parts of the games and spare you the grinding or whatever is most time-consuming. ;)
