cmdr_flashheart: Question about Groupees- some games come with a download option, are those DRM-free standalone installers?
avatar
triock: Short answer - yes.
I thought so, but I was wondering if the steam keys were for activation of those, or something. I think of all the games sold, some must have been like that, like Eador MOTBW.

But yeah, I didn't really pay attention to those before!

edit: actually, I checked- Eador MOTBW and Genesis both download and work DRM-free. Now I have them DRM-free and on Steam :D Groupees is awesome!

Some games are not DRM-free, they require serial key to work.

Got it, thanks!

jamesbuc: Bonus 4 unlocked. New Bonus @ 9,000 buys 'Brave Wave Productions - World 1-2' (Music)

The new bonus actually has some pretty big names behind it so it may be worth it (if it unlocks and given how low the bonus mark is, its likely it will. Seems this bundle didn't sell half as well as Groupees was hoping it would)
combination of repeat games plus lack of DRM free games would do it.
Some hints for the mystery game:

1) Never Bundled

2) PC/Mac (Steam, DRM-free)

3) On Steam for less than a year

It'll have to be pretty damn good to get me to buy the $3.50 tier.

Stooner: Valdis Story?
I don't think there's a mac version of that, I could be wrong though.

Windows Only. There's No Mac or Linux version. Not surprised. Kickstarted game.

From the KS FAQ

"Will the game be available on different platforms? (Mac/Linux)

We will be looking into porting the game to other platforms, but they will not be available on launch with the PC version. A Mac version is most likely be the first port we make.

We've recieved some request for a Linux port so we got in contact with a specialist in porting games to Linux that was suggested to us by a number of you in emails. The engine the game is built does not currently have support for Linux, and we won't know if we will get what we need to make it happen until a few months from now. The first steps have been taken, but this is where the port for Linux stands right now.

If they are possible the ports will take some time, but we will give it our best.

Website shows nothing about Mac or Linux (i have Windows version from the KS)

This list might help your search for the Groupees mystery game: http://bit.ly/1dTtE43
Hammerwatch and Don't Starve stand out from the list. But wow, a lot of games have been in bundles, pretty awesome.

Quite a few of those would be headliners in bundles....... not a bonus
Maybe it's something which didn't do so well, then, like Chaos Engine.

Nvm, that too has been bundled.

When was that bundled? I don't recall that being packed up at all

I only remember that being in the expensive Yogscast bundle that nobody bought. When was it in a regular bundle?
