For years now I've been avoiding RTS because the C&C and Warcraft series really burnt me out.
But now going through the backlog of things that I've missed, I've been trying out a lot of RTS's lately.
Over the past week I've picked up Sacrifice, Giants and Ground Control II from GoG (passed on the first Ground Control because they didn't implement an AI for single player Skirmish).
While the other two games are good, they're more action fantasy.
But just playing through the tutorial campaign I can say that GCII was way ahead of its time and still a bit more advanced than a lot of the new RTSs out there.
