Any recommendation? Something similar and close to Fallout 2?

I'm probably wrong, but the closest thing to Fallout on here at the time is probably Arcanum. I just can't think of anything that's all that close to Fallout.

I think Arcanum is the best suggestion, but technology + choices, makes me think of Deus Ex.

Not RPG really, but you might like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Come to think of it, they do feature RPG-7's. =P

It's very good, very story oriented. The NPCs have a lot of backstory etc. I played through Planescape Torment after Fallout 2 back in 1999 when it came out, I considered each my favorite RPG at the time of playing them. Not much has ever taken the crown since then.

Personally, I couldn't play it after a while because it's just not easy on the eyes. Just something to consider, watch gameplay vids.

Sorry, I missed this. If you're looking for oldschool caliber RPGs, then you're not going to like Invisible War, and perhaps even Human Rev to some extent.

Arcanum indeed in terms of gameplay and all. But Wastelands is also a fantastic game set in what was to become the Fallout universe, but expect an Ultima IV gameplay and interface.

Keep in mind, Arcanum is buggy as hell tho .


Planescape is a must-play for any RPG fan, but more for the storyline than for anything else .

Both games are excellent. PT is more story-driven. Arcanum, yes, it reassembles Fallout in a gameplay. And it’s steampunk. No matter what game you plan to play first - just DON'T FORGET to play the second one.
