Yeah.. and I would have come to that assumption myself.. but that's all it would have been.. an assumption. Too much missing from the post to draw a proper conclusion.

It's perfectly legit for him to assume that everyone is going to understand what he's talking about, just like someone could say "well...SOME PEOPLE blah blah blah negativity," and the people around would know exactly who he's referring to. That's human communication.
No he didn't... he jumped into a thread where opinions were running rampant and didn't say anything.. he commented on some posts not being to his liking ... and left it at that.

I don't know what's in his brain... I don't know his leaning.

So as far as I am concerned..he was sitting on the fence getting splnters in his butt.

Any meaning you or anyone else gets from his post, is purely speculation until his words are properly quantified.

If he had quoted a post that was expalnatory then his comments would have had context, but in not doing so and by leaving such a vague post it is left hanging in mid air, where other's are perfectly willing to go on record, good or bad, as to how they regarded the OP's post.

I see too much of this kind of double talk in forum, people gaining points off each other by virtue of being vague and I've never abided it, it's something I don't like and won't let slide when I see it.. Someone wants to have an opinion, absolutely fair enough, either way I don't care....but spit it out.

How are there opinions running rampant? There are a few jerkwads telling the OP to go kill himself (well, ok...just the one), and a bunch of others offering helpful advice and making negative comments about said jerkwads. It's really not that much of a stretch to assume that his own negative comment is expressing sentiments of a similar nature. If there were actually two defined sides, then yes...his comment would be vague. But as it is, there is no argument, and there are no "two sides." So either he's throwing out his displeasure with the rest of us, or he's failing epically at trying to start a debate. And considering that successfully starting a debate takes the mental capacity of a retarded gorilla, I think it's safe to assume the former.

Qualified, not quantified. His words can easily be quantified, there were 17 of them.

However I would leave our grammatical discussions to another day, I'm sure another will arise. I would like to suggest you turn things down a notch. People will make abstract comments, sometimes you won't get the point. That doesn't mean others won't, perhaps the statement was not intended for you. If you want the internet to be some carefully reasoned and regulated debating forum, you have a long wait ahead of you.

Some of the best posts are abstract, and require a bit of thought. Getting pure speculation of the meaning from a post is not a bad thing. I would suggest that unless we're going to start talking in formal specification language (all posts must be written in Z!) our posts are all subject to that. It's a good thing, it allows us to branch out discussion, explore a subject area. Most of the best understanding comes from an initial misunderstanding. I can quantify that quote for you, 10.

So now we're getting a denial about certain stong feelings in this post, come on dude...

And there was two defined sides.. I'm not even talking about the blatently stupid comment.. it's the point of whether or not one agrees with the OP.. some do.. some don't. It could have been said better, but he can complain if he wants... too many people thinking they can shout down complainers these day. If they have a point or now it'll all come out in the wash

Anyway, you make my point for me... when you have to use the word 'assume' pertaining to the written word, then it isn't written very well..

Fact of the matter..... spit it out... you get called for being vague, it's your own damn fault.

And regardless of how you personally feel about the meaning as to what was said, fine.. I have no problem with that... but as far as I am concerned.. you want to make a comment about the content of other's posts, gaining point for your smugness/opinion, then you're wording better be absolutley unambiguious.

First of all... I haven't a clue what you're trying to say with this pithy little remark...which is ironic, when you think about it. Second of all, you're entitled to your opinion, and I'm experienced enough to know when someone isn't planning on changing their tune. The fact that you're so disproportionately angry and adamant about this tells me that you've already got a chip on your shoulder about something.

I still maintain that you are barking up a non-existent tree...and doing so with a unnecessarily loud bark.

First of all, this was a stupid try to get some attention from GOG.
My word choices in the topic was very bad and i doesnt wanted to attack somebody personally.
I just wanted to criticize the Support from GOG. But im only a Human who has emotions.

So im Sorry.


However Dungeon Keeper runs now on my Notebook. It is a Mac alluminium Notebook with Windows Vista. But i was musting (pfew english is hard) to change the cycles from the DosBox to max and the memsize to 64. But its a little bit bad playable on a 13" Screen.

Somehow i doesnt understand wahts wrong with my pc. Evry Game i tried in the DosBox is beginning after 20sec to lagging.

It is realy pity that i doesnt get an Image-File from GOG. So i can try other ways to install this Game. That was the head reason why i bought this Game. Because i dont find my old Dungeon Keeper CD.

I'd advise you send in a ticket.. I don't think GOG will comment on your issues from a thread... or at least I personally haven't seen them do so.

Ah.. and they haven't replied yet? Sorry.

Just keep at them, there's a lot of users here I can imagine they'd get quite busy, I've just stuck one in of my own... I'm sure they'll be on it, or at the very least aware you are waiting.

Although saying that I have no experience of their CS or lack of thereof... I've seen a few thread of unhappy peeps (expectant pause), but not too many.

Be a pain if you don't feel you are getting the service you should.. but I'm pretty sure they won't answer on the boards, could be proven wrong though.. hopefully. ;)
