Telika: And the p1na element seems uncertain, so maybe there'll be some playerlist adjustment, impacting numbers and reverting to a former version ?
Anybody called?

Now, uncertain I may be, but where's the fun in being predictable? Except on the whole police thing, bunch of obnoxious bastards the lot of them if you ask me. And if you don't too. Oh, and the whole saving the damsel too, you can't go wrong with a classic like that. Fear not, flubbucket! Stupid you may be, but your boobs are in the right place and that's all that really matters to me.

Aanyway, I'm here to save the day and that pretty much settles the whole incident, so would scums please give up and stand in the right corner?
Also

V/LA until the new year

but hopefully I should be around enough for none of you to notice much.

Noticed...

QuadrAlien: I'm slightly nervous about some of my information, given CSPVG's statement about his name being police-involved.
He did not, he said that there is a policeman involved, and s/he may not be among the names. He did not hint anything about his role, or what his name may be.

Zchinque: Seeing as we're only allowed to talk about it today, which I find an odd restriction, we should discuss it, but I wish that had happened before people started dumping role info.
Where? So far no roles have been mentioned, unless it was so subtle that I missed it. It has only been likes/dislikes.

This sentence may have got more convoluted than I originally intended, but you cutting it off half-way through does not help matters - I was referring to Inspector Lawrence Birch as the one whose name makes him sound police-involved. It's the title, you see. Doesn't actually make him necessarily the cop in game terms, of course.

Of course, there's the thought that CSPVG might have been referring to the officer mentioned by the person recapping the events of the game (try not to think about this too hard), which would appear not to be a player otherwise the possibility exists to cause rather a paradox. :)
Let me just drop the granny act a bit and clarify.

QuadrAlien: Should we reveal the nature of the clues as well? It seems to me that Red_Baron might have a similar clue to my own, though he seems to be making further assumptions at an alarming rate if this were to be the case.
I was actually just trying to get my information out, without stating it openly. However if we are going to just claim it - I will say that of the whole argument I made about lovers and such the important part is female to be the likely killer

At any rate that also goes to show that I agree we should just get all the info out on day one, given how pointless it will become otherwise. Also in agreement with the likeliness of 3-man scum team, where I am assuming based on info that one at least is female.

I have no clue how the dislike/like comes into play - but we do have a magician in a Joe game, meaning that any solid conclusions from the flavor about tracks and so forth might be a trick or might not.. its a Joe Game :P

At any rate Merry Christmas to everyone!
I'm a bit at a loss as to what to do here with the like etc., it seems like it's info that later on might be really useful. Not sharing it today might hinder our scumhunting later. However, I'm not so happy with the completely unprompted information vomiting that some people are doing, it's not as if the day is showing signs of being about to finish.

Zchinque: I request that once we decide upon a lynch, I get to hammer.
Any particular reason?
avatar
Vitek: I am not sure I am confortable with all those likes/dislikes flying around. Could be TMI.
I'm worried about that too, but I'm more concerned with the names themselves, considering the scum in the previous game were looking for a specific character to kill as soon as possible (QuadrAlien). The likes/dislikes and clues look more like flavor so far.

And merry Christmas to anyone that celebrates the holiday. :)

Do you think I'm requesting it just for shits and giggles?

While I wouldn't assume that, it comes across that way with no explanation.

Just popping by (am currently plundering the Lyon second hand bookshops, and it's a slaughter - worse than gog's two last holiday sales combined), just for a word on this : I do suspect that that the likes/dislikes and clues can offer indirect ways to get to the names. I'm sure it can help at some point, though i'm not seeing how exactly yet (but I don't think Joe would have put a purely proscum mechanism there). The "mention only in day1" limitation is stressful, and I wonder how it will be avoided in the following days... Still, my point is, if scum are looking for names, I wonder if they have clues like "and colonel mustard is a close friend of miss scarlet".

Yet again, these clues have probable town value, but right now I don't see in which way it'll be the case (I somehow don't expect something as straightforward here as known scum name, but more probably hints to combine progressively)...

So, not sure how to deal with these. I'd be interested in reading people's rationale when it comes to early likes, dislikes, clues and name displays. Right now, more than in the likes/dislikes themselves.
Seems my dislike for Prudence may be justified, seeing how two of her friends are picking on me. I do admire them for sticking with their friend, but not sure if I like the fact that they don't want to remind me their names.
Oh well, I'm off to spend some more time with Mr Sedgeworthy.

In either case, do you object to me hammering?

Small children are quite something on Christmas eve, I must say.

Not as such... just wary that we might be aiding something bad.
