A better thought to get GOG out there might be rewarding the community for viral marketing advertisement.
For example, a points system. You gain a small number of points for someone you refer registering an account, and a decent number of points the first time they buy a game.
And every X points, you can earn one free GOG title.
If they wanted to be awesome to people they'd also award a rather low amount of points fur purchasing games. Thus making it a 'loyal customer awards' program.
(Say 1 point for a membership, 5 points for buying a game, 10 points for the first time someone you refer buys a game. 100 points for a free game.)
Or if they didn't want to go free game, even just a 25% off coupon or somethin',
