They are filming a video for a new game, so I'm guessing it must be a big one?

It's 18 Wheeler Pro Trucker.

spindown: A working search function?
Interesting thought. That would involve an overhaul of the forum software, right?

Why not Big Rigs Over the Road Racing?
It's a shame that as always, you need to search for GOG.com news anywhere but GOG.com website.

If you're not going to announce EA expansions, I'm gonna get pissed.

Wishbone: Dear GOG.com,

When you have important news about yourself to share, PUT IT ON YOUR FUCKING SITE!!!

Sincerely,
A long-time GOG.com customer
1000x this.
It's got to be LucasArts!

Plus I think the change is an optional game client/launcher.

csmith: Double Fine seems like a good fit. I was thinking maybe Mojang to bring Minecraft and their future projects to the site. Though I wonder if the "video-gaming magic" description for the indie developer is a clue?
It COULD be Double Fine, although their PC catalog is desperately sparse (only including the already-released Psychonauts, along with Stacking, Costume Quest, and Iron Brigade).

The video-gaming magic clue, on the other hand, could be referring to LucasArts! Loom has magic elements in it, and so does the Monkey Island series (because voodoo is technically magic).

Could it be two separate clues, TheEnigmaticT? Because if it's ONLY Double Fine, that's only three new games for the GOG.com catalog (because Psychonauts is already on GOG) and a couple of future games, but that's about it.

SLP2000: biggest change = Mac support
Amen to that, although I could foresee including Linux "support" as well (since many Linux users technically do their own support, especially of Dosbox and ScummVM titles).

I'd love to put a few of my GOG.com purchases directly into Boxer from my GOG.com account. That application is absolutely one of my all-time faves, plus it just got a VERY nice and positive review on Ars Technica!

Well, if speculations are going towards Double FIne, then The Cave is out on PC early 2013, it is probably a bit of a long shoot thinking it will be released here.

(Brütal Legend desperately needs a PC port also...)

Fuzzyfireball: On the topic of major publishers, which ones are left?

I can think of 2K, Microsoft, SEGA and LA. Plus some pretty big ones like Zenimax and Paradox. Other 'smaller' ones like NovaLogic.
Ho please let it be Microsoft or THQ!

LA isn't indie tho.
Paradox Interactive maybe? They started an indie label. They have 59 games on Desura...

If that "magic" part is actually a clue... Magic --> Magicka? But that's a Steamworks game and I imagine that it might be a lot of work to take that out.

They are branching out from games to release Movies, music and T.V!

Pff, this isn't for another 3 weeks, lay off the hype until a week before would you. Gog probably don't want to be accused of over-hyping again, or they are just waiting to finalise things before they make an announcement on their website.

That's a fair point, but I'm going on the assumption that the magic clue and the "finest" clue are two wholly separate clues until TET tells us otherwise.

If GOG seriously got something like Lucasarts, I think we'd get something more than a vague reference to "magic." When Square-Enix came aboard, they sure weren't shy about trumpeting that they had a major new publisher on board.
