I don't really find you that suspicious. Its was mostly the behavior of putting out theories why to target certain people, without really acting much upon it. Since I didn't really see you much in the game neither I figured the vote as a prod. If I still haven't unvoted consider it done, since many of my original suspects have started to make a lot more sense. In this sense meaning: Cruward being replaced, Twilightbard's post and yours as well of course.

Absolutely. There's literally nothing to be gained for the mafia by quicklynching anywhere but the end (unless one of their own is also in danger of being lynched).

Something which did occur to me is that it would be clever mafia play to stay off the itai wagon, which would trick people into thinking that the reason he wasn't lynched relatively quickly was because he really was mafia... In that case, we might do well to look closer at the folks who stayed out of it / were reluctant to vote. Not sure how feasible that is though, especially considering it was D1 and the mafia hadn't had an opportunity to natter yet.

Except, you're pointing out someone completely different then I was. I only mentioned itai once, when I was mentioning that someone else had mentioned the 'list' idea before Rod did. The person who was seemingly worried about a lynch like that was Rod, which is why he stated he threw the names out.

My bad. In my defence, it was in the morning and I hadn't woken up fully yet. The point still stands, though; it was not really aimed at you.

Right, so about that TB theory on Rodzaju's behaviour which I find too convoluted to be possible -- there's one thing that seems rather obvious to me.
Very little, in a beautiful illustration why townies really should never lie. We do know, however, that the "list of four people" most definitely was a lie, and from this I infer that so was the claim that of these (non-existent) four, Rodzaju only had my name.

Because let's face it -- a lyncher who doesn't know who his target is? That's nonsensical. Unless he's also a name/role/flavour cop of sorts and his task is to first find out who he is actually looking for through night investigations, and then getting them lynched. All that in the six or so days this game is going to take. While managing to stay alive the whole time. Pretty much an impossible mission, isn't it?*

This, of course, means the entire structure of your theory crumbles. What I think happened is much more straightforward -- Rod was a lyncher with two targets, and his winning condition was to get lynched at least one, but ideally both. That's it. He was just a little too eager to get started, and in his hurry tripped up. I can't bring myself to try and read more into it, because at this point, it definitely is nothing but muddying the waters. This is one question we won't see resolved until after the game is over, so it is completely pointless to keep digging in it. He's dead, his motives will remain a mystery.

There was something more I wanted to say to this, but I got lost in my own argument. Still, I'm thinking this will do.

*The wiki mentions this as a possibility for lynchers, but also says it is frowned upon, for rather obvious reasons.

Ok, some people have mentioned how this is a convoluted plan. It's really not, it's maybe, 2-3 total steps.

Step 1: Get Baz Killed, gain Doctor power.
Step 2: Find and lynch Angelo
Step 2a: If Baz doesn't die, get him lynched instead.
Step 3: Profit

The big problem is, well, no plan survives contact with anything that isn't the planner. Especially people who don't know the plan, like all of us are. It's a fairly basic plan, but his path went all over the place trying to keep up with everything happening.

@Baz, I'm curious as to what you think that Rod DIDN'T lie about. I went with the idea that he lied only about the stuff that could be proven lies, or that don't make sense otherwise.

1) Denton Walters is the Doctor, and he doesn't know he's paranoid. I know that to be true.
2) Angelo Cervi is the Cop, and he doesn't know he's insane. I have no reason to doubt that, and it checks out with Rodzaju's lynch flavour.
3) Rodzaju was a Lyncher / Batman. The flavour confirmed that.

Everything else is up in the air. My approach to it is just the opposite: I presume everything he told us is a lie unless proven otherwise. In other words, I don't want to base my theorising on anything Rodzaju gave us, because I have no way of telling if that particular piece of information was the truth or not.
