About FDM and client service
FDM is not supported, it would be really nice that gog.com could make both compatible and still be a secure way for both client and gog.com. I've been using the air downloader for some time and it's OK but not nearly as worked-out as FDM community.
I believe there are several issues associated with downloaders, regarding concurrent connections count, hammering, URL disclousure and client account security that must be workedout.
Client services are not good, but we need to understand that the gog.com is gowing faster than the expected client servicing projected, and they really need to keep it ahead if they want it to have a future

KavazovAngel: Air is better than Silverlight or Flash?
It is better than Flash for this particular application but...
Air is no better than Silverlight, neither it is something worse, both are competing technologies backed by powerful companies, and both are fairly new techs so time will bring more light in the subject
I would go for Silverlight, but I'm a Win (R) user, Nix guys would want a Mono or Java thing
FTP transfer would be the best option cuz there are too many ISPs catching our HTTP traffic and making things worse for all (with corrupted files for example). Or just the use of some port not monitored and catched by ISPs.
