Alrighty, I'm really annoyed that any community attempt to get a multiplayer game going usually never works. Why? Because [insert deity here] gave us those damn time zones, or because somebody's port is blocked and the servers don't work, or the threads just get buried into hell and whatnot. We need a central thread, folks, in order to get (semi) regular games going.
So here's how it's going to work. (Or not.)
Every so often, a bunch of us will go on IRC and bitch and whine and perhaps talk about a game we should play for multiplayer. It has to be old (old as in either on GOG or more than five years), and it has to be a game that people want to play. There's no point in me wanting to force, say, Far Cry on you if you want to play some RTS. Obviously, this game choosing thing shall be done democratically, with votes. Small stuff like hosting, time, and all that can be decided then.
A list of people who are definitely going to play, a list of people who are maybe going to play will be created. Each game session will have different people, so the lists will be erased and recreated each time. I think a way to announce games would be useful, but since 68.2838% of you are so anti-Steam, it's not going to be easy. We're using Xfire, guys.
Right now, I just want to know if you're up for this. If not, simply pick up a tomato and throw it at my head. (Not the nose, please.)
Where to learn of new game sessions:

Xfire!
What we're playing this time:
Something. Sometime in the future.
Who's playing:
Some people.
