Key GOG quote:

Not detail heavy (such things never are), but there should be announcements from March. Summary version: expect portfolio growth and tech changes.

And another, longer article, financially oriented with some Witcher 3 content.

And what of the classics? Hnnngggg...
Here's the text in English (via Google Translate):
CD Projekt is planning in 2014 to carry out major changes in specializing in digital distribution of games on GOG. The changes are intended to help maintain the high growth rate of GOG improvement in subsequent years. CD Projekt still wants to develop CDP.pl. Ultimately, the company has obtained full independence.

"This year, the GOG will pass a big change. Until then, the company almost from the beginning acted in an unchanged business model. Work on the project started changing GOG even last year. First public information is expected in March, the time will come next. Among the planned changes will include the extension of the portfolio, as well as technological change "- told PAP president Adam Kicinski CD Project.

"We want to GOG has maintained high growth improvement in subsequent years, and these changes should help" - he added.

CD Projekt plans to continue to develop specializing in distribution and publishing activities in Poland CDP.pl. Ultimately, the company should obtain full independence.

"I still want to develop CDP.pl, so as to have as many users and as much as possible to provide them" - said Kicinski.

"Probably eventually, but it is unclear what the horizon, this company should get full independence. First step in this direction was the sale of its stake in the board. Further transactions of this type are not currently planned" - he added.

He informed that the sale by the end of 2013, 5 percent. CDP.pl shares to employees of the company will have no impact on the group's results.

"The sale of 5 per cent. CDP.pl shares to its employees did not cause any significant one-time events associated with the revaluation of the company. As a one-off event can be treated with the second part of the transaction of purchase of the brand from CDP.pl, but otherwise the effect of the tax, it will be for the neutral group results "- he said. "Portfolio growth" = Legend Entertainment games pulled out of limbo!
Or maybe (ever so slightly more probable) finally getting Amiga on board!
... it's gonna be mobile games or something, right?

THAT would be sweet.
Thanks Mondo.
I know it's purely speculative, but portfolio growth could mean adding completely new categories of products to the catalog. Something similar to what they did with cdp.pl, where clients can get ebooks, movies etc. It would require reworking the website, hence technological changes. After all, they wouldn't make such a big deal about adding more games, would they?

MoP: "Portfolio growth" =
I was thinking the most probable being: some Linux versions, and/or Android games. At least those would make some sense and would be pretty easy to include (unlike e.g. Amiga games, considering Kickstart ROMs). After all, Humble Bundle is doing them already as well.

Technological change = improved (downloader) client with new features.

I think the last time big changes were expected, it meant Mac support. Ok, fair enough, not super exciting, but made sense. Same as the things above.

yes to ebooks as various people have mentioned there is a big gap in market .
no way over mobile games.cheap nasty not worth it.
Wasn't there some talk around Dec 2013, that GOG was looking to add games still in Alpha/Beta? Like Early Access on Steam? Or am I hallucinating again?

Also, is GOG a publicly traded company (as in stocks bought and sold on the market)? To the Google!

It was a question on one of GOG's surveys if users were interested in such games, and respondents mostly answered in the affirmative. Implementing that while remaining DRM-free and curating the catalog is probably still a challenge.

Its parent company, CD Projekt, is a publicly traded company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Ah, much obliged. I was just looking up what happened with Optimus S.A. but it was slow going and more than a little confusing. Thanks for the clean answer. :)

I'd expect support for Linux games to show up here before Alpha releases.

Why? Linux games = more support (or so GOG has always claimed). Alpha games = less support (obvs).

I mean, I want Linux versions, but I'm not holding my breath.
