Licurg: I hate draws... They're so inconclusive :/
No, it's conclusive: we are really bad at this.... ;p

Also, my undead has really fast dodge reflexes.... but sucks attacking...

LOL. Thanks for the suggestions. Undead with "average" dexterity/agility doesn't really fit. I'll probably improve the offense and reduce the hit/avoid for next game. Consider your armies lab rats in an experiment. ;)
Stooner’s Rogue vs. Licurg’s Rogue (Great minds think alike!)

Stooner’s Rogue rolls to hit: 17

Licurg’s Rogue rolls to avoid: 12

Rogue’s get +2 to avoid, so Licurg’s Rogue gets 12 + 2 = 14 to Avoid.

Stooner’s Rogue’s 17 to hit is higher than Licurg’s Rogue’s 14 to Avoid

Therefore, this is a hit.

Moving to damage.

Stooner’s Rogue rolls for offense: 19. Wow, devastating hit!

Licurg’s Rogue rolls for defense: 19. How about that?

We have a 19-19 tie.

The manual states that in order for one creature to defeat another, his offense roll must be equal to OR greater than the enemy’s defense roll. So, while Vicurg’s Rogue made an amazing defensive maneuver, it wasn’t enough to prevent his death!

Stooner’s Rogue defeats Vicurg’s Rogue.

Before he finally kicks the bucket, Vicurg’s Rogue makes his counter attack.

Roll to hit: 4. No luck!

Stooner’s Rogue rolls to avoid: 17. Stooner’s Rogue is on a roll.

4 is not greater than nor equal to 17. Therefore, the attack does NOT hit.

RESULT: Vicurg’s Rogue is defeated. Stooner gains 1 Victory Point. Stooner’s Rogue survived, so Vicurg does not gain a Victory Point.

Don’t worry too much Vicurg, there are still 8 battles yet to be had, plenty of time to make up ground.

This could take a loooong time to finish, so I decided to speed things up a bit, when possible. Therefore, the *minimum* time between fights is going to be 4 hours. Not saying it will always happen that fast, just allowing for the possibility.

Stooner and Vicurg: You have 8 creatures remaining. If you wish to change the fighting order for your remaining creatures, send me a private message.

stoicsentry: Vicurg’s Rogue is defeated.
(I like the fact that he got so dizzy by the hit, that turned into "Vicurg"!...)

;p

Now, back to my slumber....

Dang, I lost... And you misspelled my name too...
Battle 3: Licurg's Archer vs. Stooner's Mage.

Licurg's Archer rolls to hit: 11 + 2 = 13.

Stooner's Mage rolls to avoid: 18.

13 is not > or = to 18, therefore the hit misses.

Stooner's Mage rolls to hit: 7.

Licurg's Archer rolls to avoid: 20.

7 is not > or = to 20, therefore the hit misses.

We have another draw. No Victory Points!

Stooner and Licurg, you may change the order of your 7 remaining creatures at any time by sending me a PM.

Yep, it only works for the offense roll, not the hit roll...but even still it wouldn't have hit. Bummer :(
Battle 4: Stooner's Warrior vs. Licurg's Cleric

Stooner's Warrior attacks.

Roll to hit: 9.

Licurg's Cleric rolls to avoid: 18

No hit.

Licurg's Cleric rolls to hit: 9.

Stooner's Warrior rolls to avoid: 4.

HIT!

Licurg's Cleric rolls for offense: 15.

Stooner's Warrior rolls for defense: 13 + 1 = 14.

15 > 14. Therefore, Stooner's Warrior is defeated.

Licurg's Cleric survives.

Licurg gains 1 Victory Point.

Beaten by a Cleric? That Warrior has some explaining to do!
