Export: Thanks for at explaining your feelings on it, though. It gives me something to think about when playing it next.
No prob. Everyone likes different things in RPGs, some people want more loot, some more story, some more stat-based combat and others more reflex-based combat. It's a very eclectic genre.

For me the story, choices you make and consequences of those choices are what makes RPGs great.
Magicka is an awesome idea for a game with funny dialogue and a clever and fun spell system but would suggest giving the developers another week of patching before trying.
I'm still kinda confused on how the ps2 and ds games were" the same frigging thing over and over again" but pc gaming is a garden of fresh originality in comparison. The amount of variety of games on those 2 systems is pretty huge

I remembered 1NSANE as I played it years ago on a PC. So I bought it and never thought that I would have so much fun again! Good physics and intelligent opponents - capture the flag against other trucks is a blast!

Bodkin: Planet Alcatraz - I suspected bad Fallout clone (Metalheart or shadow Vault) but I've got scifi flavoured Fallout with russians.
Same here. Not the best rpg I have ever played, but it's a pretty decent game. It has potential. The developer were inspired by Fallout, but they never plagiarized the series.

One thing that I wasn't expecting at all : it's a long lasting game. I don't know how many hours I've played so far, but it seems like forever to me. I have 3 guys so far, and I suppose that you get a fourth before the end of the game.

Dubs and cut scenes are horrible though.

orcishgamer: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was way better than I'd ever hoped. Caveat: the story is only 8 hours or so, but you can often find it on sale for under 30 dollars, given its quality that's more than fair, imo.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow was also really good, if you don't like the idea of a God of War type game that is actually hard, skip it, if you do, you'll squee like a twelve year old girl buying her first makeup.
Dude, where are you finding these cool games? Me no see Castlevania anywhere. Or are you referring to recent console titles?

Well, I'll give it to ya - three of the most original games that I've ever played

Monster Hunter
Katamari Damacy
and
Robot Alchemic Drive

Were PS2 titles.

I guess it would be more fair to say that because of a larger selection of games, especially from independent companies, it's easier and more affordable to find more variety on PC than it is console.

The recent console titles. Sorry, I do play quite a bit of 360 as well as PC.

And you give me crap for buying DRM'd games. The Xbox has done more to hurt PC gaming than anything else, really. WINKY FACE.

I believe I've explained this before (and I've never made any secret that I play XBox). Consoles have had this issue from day one (as in, when I was a kid). Nothing on XBox is really any different than it was on NES.

The problem with PC games is the DRM has gotten craptons worse, none of my XBox games ever needed any kind of activation. I'd happily buy the PC version of the game over the console version every time if only it didn't come with anal rape DRM.

EDIT: I should also point out, if I boycott a game on PC I normally boycott it on console as well. Sometimes a buddy and I will swap games a year or two down the road and play them, I've probably caught a few of these this way, I do know I've never played Bioshock, though, I was so irritated with the DRM on PC at the time.

puxili: King Arthur - The Roleplaying Wargame.

The reviews said it has a horrible interface and is ridiculously difficult.
Well, it is difficult, but the atmosphere and depth even surpass Empire: TW, at least for me. What a great game.

reaver894: Even on easy that game is hard, Im still trying to decide whether I like it or not.
nah it is not really hard, on easy it is pure fun. Everyone is just trying to play it with no losses for some reason, so yeah. Also, the game is awesome, Im saving money to buy Druids expansion.

Im not fussed about losses as long as I dont lose the entire unit, I hate it when I get shafted by a group of cavelry in my level 7 longbowmen, and caradoc(sp) is a pain in the ass to beat (optional fight I know but I really wanna kick his smug ass)

I was just giving you a hard time, hence the winky face. I will say that any DLC or arcade games bought off Xbox Live are DRM'd out the ass though, and since the Xbox is a closed system good luck circumventing that.
Nearing the end of The Ball. Similar to Portal, but throw in a little violence and gore, an eerie Aztecan setting (powered by UE3), the feeling of dread and easier puzzles.
With Survival mode, you're looking at about 10 hours.

You're quite right about that and I've never felt more hypocritical than buying any Arcade title, even with a massive discount to normal price.

Arcade titles are DRMed, but they do have one cool feature that many don't know about, even if you get banned and Live gets shut down they will work on the console they are assigned to (by default, this is the one you bought them on) until the hardware dies, and any profile on that hardware has full access. Granted, it's an XBox so the hardware lasting a lone time is probably not going to happen:)

And sorry, I'm slow at times:)

Damuna: How did you happen across this information?
It's common knowledge, the games work offline on the console they are bought on, or the console they are later reassigned to. That still doesn't make their DRM any less shitty though, since Microsoft have shown they will shut down Live support for old consoles and the 360 hardware is far from reliable.

One day, be it 5 years, 10 years or 20 years from now, that content will be unusable. Can't say the same for DRM's PC games, the community will always keep them DRM free somewhere.
