raina: Beat Metroid Zero Mission. Since I'm new to the series (computer gamer first, console gamer second), I thought I'd play it in the chronological order as seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid#Plot . Now, to get a Wii and the Gamecube titles...

Just in case you haven't seen it make sure you get the new trilogy edition with Wii controls added to the gamecube versions.

Oh, hey, thanks for reminding. I hear some people bashing Wii FPS controls but then again they've somehow got the idea that traditional gamepad works better for first person view and aiming.. Go figure. :P

From what I hear the controls are pretty good for the Wii versions, as it isn't a true FPS.

Which reminds me, The Conduit looks good for a Wii shooter (hell, any shooter for that matter). Is it any good?

I've not played it but I've heard that it has the best FPS controls on the Wii but can get a bit dull. I think the word is probably average although i have seen it about quite cheap so may be worth trying.
Just finished Heroes of Might and Magic 2.
Well, the main campaign, haven't started the four extra ones yet.
My rating was "power lich" if anyone cares... though that does include some cheating due to some frustrating maps (and my poor ability to multitask several castles/heroes!)

It controls well because they tone down the enemies so that you can handle rotating all around to shoot accurately. Also, the story is atrocious.
I just finished murder death kill. what a short game that was. and on normal fairly easy. (when playing with mouse. without it i guess it would be much much harder)
Half-Life (Difficulty: Medium)
Half-Life Opposing Force (Difficulty: Hard)
Half-Life Blue Shift (Difficulty: Hard)
Just finished "Warhammer - Shadow of the Horned Rat"
I found it massively difficult, but quite interesting.
It hasn't stood the test of time well, graphically it looks pretty horrendous whilst in battles, which is in stark contrast to the well drawn animated cutscenes.
Glad I had the opportunity to play it, although I wonder if Dark Omen would be a better game, if they learnt from their mistakes with SoTHR. Not sure on the availability of DO though.
Just finished Psychonauts last night. The final stage was a bitch but it was well worth it I guess.
Just finished Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Sort of a cross between tradicional and tactical FPS shooters. It was good and fun most of the time, but not great. It does have its moments, and for that it's worth playing - just not a classic.

For some reason I rarely seem to be able to actually finish my games. New games just seem to steal my attention away from them at some point before I manage to finish anything, and there is nothing that I can do to stop it. Of course I eventually go back to finish them, but that might take years.
Therefore during these past eight and half months I have only been able to finish three games. Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder, Command & Conquer Generals and...and....er...what was it...hmm, Far Cry 2 if I remember correctly.
Too many games to remember them all ... but I have recently finished the Brothers in Arms trilogy which I have once gotten on Steam during a weekend deal and didn't feel like playing them afterwards.
Turned out to be good games in the end.
I've been neglecting this thread, so I'm going to try to list all of the ones that I can remember.
Alpha Prime, Ben There Dan That, Beneath a Steel Sky, Braid, Call of Duty: World at War, Caster (x4), Chains, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (again), The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Colin McRae Rally 2005, Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, The Curse of Monkey Island, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Dawn of War: Soulstorm, Diablo II (again), Diablo II - Lord of Destruction (again), Duke Nukem 3D, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Freespace, Freespace 2, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Ghost Recon (again), Ghost Recon Desert Siege, Ghost Recon Island Thunder, Giants - Citizen Kabuto, Half-Life Source (again), Half-Life 2 (again), Half-Life 2 Episode One (again), Half-Life 2 Episode Two (again), Half-Life 2 Lost Coast (again), Heretic, Hexen, Hexen Deathkings of the Dark Citadel, Hexen 2, Indigo Prophecy (again, to play it when the events in game transpired), Larva Mortus, Left 4 Dead (again), Lost Planet, Mass Effect, MDK, Mevo & the Grooveriders, Mirror's Edge (x2), Monster Trucks Nitro, Obulis, The Path, Penumbra Overture, Penumbra Black Plague, Penumbra Requiem, Portal (again), Project Aftermath, Quake 2 (again), Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Saints Row 2, The Secret of Monkey Island: SE, Shadowgrounds, Splinter Cell (again), Star Wars Empire at War, Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption, Teenagent, Titan Quest, Titan Quest Immortal Throne, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Unreal Tournament 3, Wolfenstein, World of Goo, and Zeno Clash.
Admittedly, many of these were carryovers from last year in which I had saves near the end.
