Well it looks gorgeous, it looks like a modern day populous and it looks like a game I'll never buy because its from fucking ubisoft

Yeah I know, I can't buy anything from Ubisoft. Still, very nice concept. It's not just about the graphics either. I mean, when was the last time a game allowed you to create lifelike worlds like that? I'd love to create my own little worlds, populating them, and watching the whole thing evolve.

I just hope it doesn't become the next Spore by showing so much promise early on but ending up being such a disappointment.

Ubisoft AND Eric Chahi, you should say. Mr. Chahi didn't made games from some years now, so I'm curious at least to see what is this Populous-like stuff he is working on now.

Oh he's a big positive but no matter how good the game will be, if it uses ubirape DRM there's no way I'll buy it

It looks bloody amazing. It could well be the next Populous. But this is Ubisoft. They always find ways to completely bugger it up, even when the underlying game is exceptional. So I'm not prepared to get my hopes up just yet. UbiDRM isn't dead yet; no matter how ludicrous it is.

I know it's not the same as a true boycot, but the only time I'll buy a game from Ubi is on a console and usually then only ever buy it used (unless I can get a great deal like when I found Assassins Creed 2 new 2 weeks after release on sale for 18.99). At least it shows them that the only way I'll get their stuff is without their DRM crap.
