As I said above this reply, i'd get the whole "only regular people not liking your threads legitimately are downrepping you for good reason" theory if the downrepping en masse and so fast started after thread two or so.....but it started midway into a very polite SINGULAR thread one. Which means it wasn't me spamming the boards that made people start low repping every post in thread 1, but something else in part.

I downvoted the first thread the moment I saw it. Yeah. But I don't have an agenda, I just hate spam.

Yes, you often apologize for things that you do that piss people off. The problem is, I think you apologize because you feel like you're supposed to or just to shut everyone up, without really knowing what you're apologizing for or why. You also tend to apologize without actually accepting blame or responsibility; you blame your OCD, or you blame the other party for not having a sense of humor, or you say "that's just the way I am," or you just play the martyr. That doesn't make for much of a convincing apology. Then you do the same thing a few days later, everyone gets up in arms again and we're back where we started.

I don't hate you, and like I said before, I don't like attack threads. It just frustrates me that you always seem to miss the point when people criticize your posts. Stop being so defensive all the time; you don't get raked over the coals so often because you just randomly lost the popularity powerball. Some people are just spitting acid, but some are worth listening to.

I didn't say you were doing it or who was doing it, so my words could still fit......call it an attack if you want to, but IMO one can have his theories regardless if they upset people a small bit.

1. But often it is because of my ocd.....but I'M GUESSING that explaining WHY I sometimes do this is bad or passing the buck, just because I tack an explnation onto it? I'm not trying for sympathy, if that's what you're getting at. Or trying to downplay my truly dickish moments. I'm just stating facts, which again my ocd causes me to do....long text etc.

As for doing the same thing again.....OCD. I guess if someone with Turrets kept saying swears all day he'd be considered a dick even if people explained it was because of his turrets?

I agree some are worth listening to, and im trying to do that.....I just hate it when a rare slipup makes me target number one all over again regardless of any good things i've done.

Useless threads based around a one-trick pony of a pun are not anything to enjoy in a community. They're not productive, they're not particularly funny after the initial glance over what the hell is going on, they're just spam. Spam with a gimmick, and that's it.

There is no conspiracy, there is no one out to get you. People don't like a useless post that is going to be continuously bumped to the top of the forums for no good reason. They downrep it, it dies an early death, they no longer have to look at it.

It is a very simple concept. And Occam's razor says that it is the most likely one by far.
