ken007: Ahhh, you can really feel the good vibes between you two. :P
To the OP: if you knew that it would cost you an extra buck, would you not have bought the games?
Thank you Ken. Weclock's response was not constructive at all. He jumped all over my back from the word "go".
Ken, to answer you question......if I knew it would cost me an extra buck, yes I would still have made the purchase. The intent of my post was to make GOG aware that a disclaimer MAY be needed on their website so their customers are fully aware they MAY be charged a foreign transaction fee. That's it.
Weclock, I don't know what your deal is. Your above links are ridiculous and weak. NOBODY would ascertain that GOG uses an offshore credit card processor from your links. In fact, this link makes it appear they operate out of California:
http://www.gog.com/en/support/policies/terms_of_use "Applicable Law; Jurisdiction The laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law rules, govern these Terms and your use of the Service. Your use of the Service may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the State of California for any cause of action arising out of or relating to the Service or the Terms of Use."
I have NO problem with my bank or their fees. I know what their fees are and have READ their policies. My issue is that GOG needs to make customers aware that they MAY be charged an extra fee since their CC processor is NOT in America, England, Australia, etc.
