Remember how they looked a little odd in DA:O then Dracomies made his DA:Redesigned mod and everything looked better? Bioware went the other way.

I still think Hawke is more animated than the Warden though. Some of those conversations had him looking like Sandal.

Nothing beats Shepard though.

Let's just say that all characters seem to somewhat suffer from the board syndrome ;)

Oh Bioware, why did you let the work experience kids code the sequel to your critically acclaimed hit?

Folks can go on bickering all they want about pc/console, DAO/DA2, cRPG/aRPG, the simple fact is that the game lacks quality. I think most people would easily overlook some of the issues, the problem is that there's just too many of them.

OK, a lot of people complained about the horrible graphics in Dragon Age: Origins, and aside from a few oddities and clipping issues, I honestly never really understood the big deal.

Those DA2 shots, however, are utterly warped. Is the entire game that ugly?

There are far too many good PC/console games that don't compromise on non-linearity and graphical polish for this to look like anything more than a pretty lazy cash in. But even if they just rushed it, it still doesn't explain why it's so completely lacking in so many ways. From what I've read from user reviews it's also a pretty broken and unfinished game.

Just the Elves, Qunari and the Darkspawn. Humans, Dwarves and such are largely unchanged. Which makes the changes even more baffling.

DA: O was just very antiquated. It looked like a sequel to NWN that was released before the real (and far prettier) NWN 2 was.

But yes, this is just outright ugly in both a technical and creative sense.
