The BEST sea urchin sashimi I ever had was... in freaking New Hampshire. Random as hell, right? I've never been to Japan, but I've had various sushi / sashimi in San Fran, so to this day it blows my mind that the best uni I've ever had was at some random mountain restaurant in New England LOL. I don't remember the place, I have no clue if it still exists but I went there while skiing near the big motorcycle place (Laconia? It's like the Sturgis of the NE - no, I don't ride). But to this day, probably over 10 years later I STILL remember it as the best urchin I've ever eaten.

Also, abalone is one of those things that you really have to be on the West Coast to find. Super fresh (hours from the ocean) or bust. I don't even think it makes its way far from where it's plucked, so not surprising if you can't find it.

I have an odd stalker side note as well, but I'll refrain for the moment. Sorry for even mentioning LOL! Also, you're all gross for eating chicken feet.

Also, after reading this thread, I feel like a real jerk for not liking lobster. The last time someone had the gall to bring me several live ones I let those poor bastards go free.

No lie, a woman once asked me to jam my santoku into the underside of a living, wriggling poor lobster - in order to eviscerate the little guy and stuff him with breading whilst still alive. I don't pretend that the food I eat on a daily basis is hugged, kissed and coddled before it's shot in the face and stuffed in a package but this was a bit much for me.

People say caviar is the hotness. I mean I love sushi and everything but are fish eggs really that good?

Caviar do tastes good, at least the one that i tried, not too fishy either. Do try gunkan maki sushi, one common topping is using fish eggs, i like the one using caviar but the one using salmon roe (egg) are a little fishy, especially if you eat it alone

I still haven't tried sushi, so that one is first on my list.
And since my entry is "lame" compared to others, I'll add a wasabi souse to that order as I like hot&spicy.

Dog and cat. I use it as a joke a lot, but it's something I'd really be interested in trying. Related to plenty of people who have. Horse meat also. And Cajun food. And also I wanna diversify my sushi portfolio. If you will.

I do like the action figures though. Priceless.

Korean food is good and typically is spicy, lots of it is also sour, fermented (only way I can describe some of it), gingery, and some of my more liked things are rather garlic/onion-y.

I can eat kimchi, but I can't eat a lot of it. Just not made to. But, most people that get into it really like it. Which is good, because that is a significant portion of most big meals. As you probably guessed, this can be sour, spicy, or both.

caviar is super gross, and I like a lot of weird foods. It's like these little balls that pop in your mouth and taste like nasty sea water. blarg. No idea why people pay so much money for that.

I also dislike truffles (fungus not chocolate). It's like eating moldy dirt. Expensive moldy dirt.

I'm also vegetarian, and strangely the only meat that tantalises my senses is the smell of my own flesh burning when I'm tending fire. I've never tried long pig before.

As I grew up in Sydney, and had access to and tried many different culture's cuisines, I can't think of anything offhand that I haven't already tried. I guess I am curious about frying up insects such as grasshoppers in a nice spice mix (turmeric, cumin, coriander & chilli), but given my ethos, that would only occur in a survival situation.

Note: Australian native wood cockroaches carry no known diseases, so if you're ever in a survival situation Down Under, eat up! :P
I've got a compound bow and 3 dogs and 4 cats. Maybe we could combine my desire to eat long pig with your desire to eat cat and dog? :P
What did the rest of the lamp taste like? Is some sort of hallucinogen required to find the edible parts? We have some lamps circa 1930s in the park across the road. They don't work, so I guess they are fair game to eat?

Thank you, that is one thing I would like to try: real wasabi aka Wasabi japonica rather than the horseradish sweetened with high fructose corn syrup that we get here in Australia.
