Pheace: I'd prefer if GOG focused on getting games you can't get elsewhere since that's why I came here to begin with.
I personally wouldn't necessarily go that far, as I still view GOG as a place for all Good (or focusing on at least Semi-Good, even if MoO3es slip through :P) Old Games, so I don't mind them bringing many pre-2005 titles (sort of my personal threshold for "old"), even popular ones on Steam or other DDs like Deus Ex, etc.

However, I also want GOG to keep fighting for what we want most, for the top wishlist items, and most of those are games that one cannot easily get legally from another service like Steam. (Heck, there are like over 10 LucasArts titles in the top 25 alone, not to mention Blade Runner, Homeworld, Black and White, etc.) Plus, there are titles that may be available online but may be kind of "hidden away" like the Apogee games.
I expect they would achieve at least this level of quality. If not it would be just a pice of crap, like the original PC release...

PS: I don´t care about FF VIII, totally lame game.
A little news: if you try to search the word "Final" on Steam, the game now appears (FFVII), but it can't be clicked and it hasn't an icon yet.

Antimateria: There was some remake of Final Fantasy 1 in some hand-held thing? That would be nice.

Well, it would be nicer to port those some good psp/gameboy games to something which I can play. =)

Elmofongo: Final Fantasy 1 and 2: Dawn of Souls or the PSP remake is what you are looking for:

It's just not FF1 without, "I GARLAND WILL KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN!"

jamyskis: FF1 isn't all that great a game though - certainly the weakest of the series, and only really of interest for historical reasons. Its class system is horrendous and unbalanced, and by the time you realise that the Thief and Monk classes are about as useful as a chocolate saucepan, you'll already have invested 15-20 hours into the game.
The black belt is the hardest hitting class in the game. The thief?.... Yeah chocolate saucepan.

Also, given that the new FF7 port is by DotEmu, and given that GOG already has Squeenix on board, it's not unreasonable to expect that the port will also appear on DotEmu and GOG as well.

Hell, maybe we'll even see PC ports of the remakes of the first four games (all of which were released on iOS, Android and PSP) and emulated versions of 5 & 6. 10-13 is pushing it a bit though.

Interesting, I thought Eidos/Squeenix lost the source-code to FF7 PC

I don't particularly care about anything below 6 and above 10. I would most certainly re-buy all 6-10 again on GOG, though.

There is a red submarine in FF7 you can see it in this Youtube video:

I wish i could redeem my copy of the game on Steam, since i can't activate it anymore and basically they won't give me more activations for a game that i bought from their store.

Please also bear in mind that you will not be granted another activation if that is lost in a Windows reinstall. To avoid this in the future, please follow these steps before a reinstall:

GOG don''t sell games unless they can sell them worldwide.
