Pheace: There was another developer a short while ago who said the same about his request to be sold on GOG being rejected because his game was 'too old'.
You wouldn't happen to recall what game that was, would you? I recall something about a game that was rejected by GOG and then GOG approached the developer once they made it through Greenlight, and I also recall Sword of the Samurai being rejected, but I can't say I've followed all the GOG/Developers talks that closely.

jamyskis: and the free version (with inferior graphics) is still available.
I don't even see the graphics as that inferior. I can hardly see a difference, at least nothing substantial. (EDIT: To be fair, I played it on my netbook; on a big screen the pixel look might be less attractive.)

I vaguely recall that the dev of Knights of the Chalice got a rejection by GOG after rejecting users' proposal to sell KotC on GOG before. Maybe that's what Pheace is referring to? That probably wasn't for the same game though, but for his new one; I can't imagine GOG rejecting KotC for being too old.

This is the bundle it was in

grviper: So, what's the community members should be called in that case?

F4LL0UT: Easy, Gnig... oh, I see.
The first "g" should probably be silent, too.

It certainly was in my mind.
Well, I'd grab it here. And not having all interesting indie games at your store is not as good as having them.

Thank you.
Aw poo and sausages! Was hoping this was going to be a thread about one of the resident forum leechers feeling ashamed for taking way more than his fair share of free games to only add to their backlog from generous forum folks instead of sharing in the generosity with other folks who don't come around all the time to these forums and don't jump into giveaway threads immediately upon creation. Ah well, one can still hope.

BreOl72: A little melodramatic, huh?
Welcome to the forum.
Gog...is this true? Is this really you?
Do you take indies, only ones that are new?

Maybe they listened to the community which has been whining "already has been in dozens of bundles" every single fucking time.

This would make me really sad.
Those guys always posting "already has been in dozens of bundles" either were simply stupid or wishing that GOG could add games faster.

You can´t do something against the first group, BUT the second one could be removed IF YOU´D JUST RELEASE every already released game as soon as possible on GOG!

Pheace: To be fair, this is at least the second time we see this mentioned though. There was another developer a short while ago who said the same about his request to be sold on GOG being rejected because his game was 'too old'. Though in fairness, he initially rejected selling it here himself and then later asked GOG to do it and then they refused. That could be a separate case.

I agree with Jamyskis though, a profit analysis on a game per game basis seems like the smartest thing for them.

That or it's now GNIG, Good New Indie Games :)
I´m still a supporter of GOGs goal to become GOGGIG, GoodOldGames&GoodIndieGames.
It would be awesome if both aspects could be shared, but please don´t become GNIG instead... ;)

Can I just agree very much with this?
