No surprise, but I liked MS Paint Adventures - Andrew made the blackout fit into the narrative if you start here and follow for a couple of pages.

I like the fact they took all the Steam forums down, silenced the Guardian newspaper, forced News International to be unbiased in its reporting and made Fox news declare itself left wing.

Well anyway, I guess it did do some good, people noticed. I enjoyed the daily mash quote:

"The protest, triggered by American plans to make their internet more like China's, will last for 24 hours and make the Daily Sport the most factually-accurate newspaper in the UK as it is usually correct about the chest measurements." (it shows topless women on page 3).
That Oatmeal one is awesome.
Sonic Retro has one of my favorites, using a little parody of the No Way screen that you got when you plugged in Sonic 1 or some other game to Sonic and Knuckles.

Have they cut down on the topless models? the sport used to have them on nearly every page...

I must confess that was an assumption. I'm not a connoisseur of fine tabloid rags ;) Though I have every confidence in their measuring system, should that need any on site appraising, I'm willing to take the time.

Wishbone: I haven't seen too many yet, but I like the XKCD one.
This was my favorite because he's largely correct and that's what he really did. He literally let anyone repost his stuff.

Fever_Discordia: The one I had earlier after downing a bottle of Jim Bean - that was aweshome!
*hic*
Who were you surprised and disappointed DIDN'T do a black out?
My vote's for Penny Arcade - Boo Gabe, Boo Tycho!
Umm, they supported the video made by Extra Credits and said it was important:
http://penny-arcade.com/patv/episode/stand-together-the-gaming-community-vs-sopa-and-pipa

I guess they could have blacked out, but that blog post is the front "page" of Penny Arcade, not the comic.

Why on earth is that considered a plus????!!!!

OccupyTogether.org has my favorite blackout. The page is dark except for a movable circle of light. Simulating a flashlight in a dark place. Complete with shadows. Is a good one.

My favorite blackout tweet is this..

███ ██ █ ████ everything ███ █████ is █████ ████ ████ fine ████ ███ █ ██████ trust █████ ██████ ███ your █████ ████ government.

Hmm, and where does the Daily Mail fit into all that?

I always loved the Weekly World News, I have yet to find a better source for Big Foot sitings and following Elvis's travails.

shhhh we don't talk about the mail it's like invoking the NIMBY crowd... Hell they tried to make outrage over the fact you see a naked back and legs in the first ep of the new series of Sherlock (amazingly they failed I think they went too far even for their readers to support it)

Benny Hill used to let you see a lot more of that on his show.

yeah but that was when the mail readers were younger and not such asshats
I honestly found the fact that Google (although access wasn't really blocked) and Wikipedia got involved almost mindblowing, considering how huge those sites are.

Well these bills would deal a MAJOR blow to the entire concept of Fair Use, which Youtube and Wikipedia use extensively. So even if they weren't both dedicated to a free open web (which they are) these bills would cause major damage to them.
