MaximumBunny: The only way you'll get them drm-free for legit is by buying a copy and then applying the crack to it.
This is why I now wish I knew how to pirate. I agree with amok above, if you play a game you should pay for it, so I would never "pirate" a game I hadn't paid for already. But if you pay for a game, you should damn well be able to play it, at your leisure and without risk of losing it due to third party issues (such as your ISP going down).
I keep intending to research and learn how to pirate SAFELY to do this, but I don't know where to start and I do fear viruses and/or other nefarious things from pirating stuff. I mean who knows what else might be in the "cracks" you download.
But if I could learn how to do it, and how to do it safely, I would do this for every Steam, UDon'tPlay (h/t RudyLis), etc. game I have (which thankfully isn't all that many compared to my GOG library with over 530 entries on my shelves)..
