I impulsively purchased a game "on sale" at Steam.....should have known better. They knowingly sell defective games, and provide no support. The game is Blazing Angels 2.
Problem is evidently very common.....the game will not work with a joystick. Oh, the menu gives that as an option, but the game won't accept input from any joystick.
Naturally, the game publisher refers you to the joystick manufacturer and Steam.
Steam refers you to the publisher and joystick manufacturer.
Joystick manufacturer refers you to Steam and the publisher.
The usual passive agressive attitude from Steam, no surprise there.
Went onto Steam and Ubisoft user forums, and of course, no fix that will work. Ubisoft does have a "joystick config" solution......but it requires you to open the game folder. Since this is Steam, there is no game folder. As usual, the response from Steam is a very polite "Tough Shit, sucker".
This is Fraud, plain and simple, but I have only myself to blame. I hate Steam, but I'm so desperate for a good game.........
Learn from my mistake. Even if the reviews for an old game look good, be sure to first read the forums.....
