I impulsively purchased a game "on sale" at Steam.....should have known better. They knowingly sell defective games, and provide no support. The game is Blazing Angels 2.

Problem is evidently very common.....the game will not work with a joystick. Oh, the menu gives that as an option, but the game won't accept input from any joystick.

Naturally, the game publisher refers you to the joystick manufacturer and Steam.

Steam refers you to the publisher and joystick manufacturer.

Joystick manufacturer refers you to Steam and the publisher.

The usual passive agressive attitude from Steam, no surprise there.

Went onto Steam and Ubisoft user forums, and of course, no fix that will work. Ubisoft does have a "joystick config" solution......but it requires you to open the game folder. Since this is Steam, there is no game folder. As usual, the response from Steam is a very polite "Tough Shit, sucker".

This is Fraud, plain and simple, but I have only myself to blame. I hate Steam, but I'm so desperate for a good game.........

Learn from my mistake. Even if the reviews for an old game look good, be sure to first read the forums.....

The same fraud you accused GOG of. Let me be honest.

You are thick. Stupid. A dribbler.

Buy a console.
Are you not bored yet?

You were on GOG when I first joined, I feel like we're united in hatred of entirely different things, just really united by seething rage. Why post a thread on gog about steam not supporting your joystick? Post it on steam!

Have you tried an xbox 360 emulator? they work quite well, except for Darksiders where you're screwed.

I'm sure he's posted a similar complaint about GamersGate too.

This single sentence is enough to prove you obviously don't know what you're talking about. If there is no game folder for your game in Steam, I wonder how people accomplish the "miracle" of modding steam version of Oblivion, for example.

So, you're simply a fraud.
Hi BC, I was wondering if, while you're here, if you could go through some of your other questions and mark the ones that have solutions as solved ?? Thanks

and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/divine_divinity_series/?search=bearcat33]here are some links to make it easier.

lol haha steam game not having a folder haha where do you suppose it runs from? the recycle bin troll?
Aw, c'mon. It's not that big of a deal. Yeah, the OP should have researched the game before buying, but I've been there too. I bought AvP off of Steam when it was recently on sale and could only finish one third of it because of how terrible it is. Not like it's fraud, though. Shitty products exist, and it's only fraud if they explicitly say "this will happen" and it doesn't.

If you mean the newest AvP, then I can only assume you meant the entirety of the game was so bad you had to stop playing.

Because seriously, fuck that game.

Yeah, I only managed to get through the marine campaign because I was hoping it would pick up. Then the campaign was over in a quarter of the time that it took me to beat any of the campaigns in AvP2, which is my favourite in the series. So after a couple of terrible Alien missions I quit.

You don't expect an Ubisoft game to work, do you?

(Before I get flamed: Yes, Ubisoft games on GOG do work, because GOG made sure they work)

x360ce does work for Darksiders, you just have to deactivate rumble, then the controller works perfectly

Unless you don't mean a controller emulator. Dunno.

This is only a troll post guys, nothing to see here.

I'm not familiar with the game but I do know sometimes modern (or fairly new compared to when the game was released) joysticks simply aren't compatible with older games, for whatever reason.
