klaattu: I've got 18 right.
Could you explain the question 2 and 19, please?
#2 - B and D can't be functions because of y^2. For a function, each x goes to a unique y. With y^2, y can be a positive or negative number and give the same result.
- I'm not sure about why A is not, I'm assuming because of the extra value in the range.
- C has each domain value going to exactly one range value and multiple domain values going to the same range value is OK. Since C was definite, I went with it.
#19 From the chart we see log10(6.8) = 0.8325 and log10(6.9) = 0.8388, but we need log10(6.85), so if you average the two values from the chart, you get 0.83565 rounding to 0.8357 (C)
At least, that's how I got my answers.
