Aliasalpha: Based on that incredibly short amount of actual combat footage (which looked like all results, I didn't see anything to indicate commands were issued during the fighting), this could be as much a twitchy fragfest as Alien Swarm, a balanced tactical and action affair or as tactical as Dragon Age, I suggest we keep our disappointment or frothing outrage until we see some real gameplay footage that lasts for more than 5 seconds on screen. At least give it the chance to disappoint us based on the game rather than shitty video editing (surely they've all heard that we want to see how the game actually plays rather than just seeing flashes of the graphics amidst a field of buzzwords).
Also, why the hell am I never the one CONTROLLING the skeletal horde? I always have to fight them rather than use them to cut a glorious swath of destruction on my path of world domination
Perhaps you'd like to play Overlord II?
Starkrun: OK so hunted looked beyond badass... graphically its smexy as all hell.... and this D&D crap looks like something from early 2000 what the hell?
Granted its got some serious WOW feelings in it but, it looks old and tired.. i'll end up buying it because i like games in that vein and cant help myself.. if i had to choose id go with Hunted... is it singleplayer too or co-op only? :(
But seriously Hunted, thanks this looks incredible!
I don't know if they give you an AI teammate if you don't have a co-op player or just scale the difficulty for one. The demo level at PAX had everyone playing co-op (early one day I saw the lead dev playing co-op with an attendee). I didn't get to speak to the lead much as he was super busy. At any rate, the game is definitely built with the idea of "Okay the tank should run in first and draw the fire from that ballista and the ranged nuker will sneak around the side and take him out".
Also if you go down you need your team-mate to rez you. I don't know if you caught it, but most shields in the game get destroyed over time. The archer chick in the video was running with one at one point that was nearly gone.
I am really excited simply because they seemed to get the co-op feeling really down. Instead of parallel play (what often happened in Diablo 2 and whatnot) you actually play together.
