Mysticales: El_Caz After finally reading your chicken thing. Yea thats horrible. Would you have done the same thing if it was a kitten or a puppy? No didnt think so. As for leaving it on the road to die alone, also not the way to go. You call Animal control, They will do what is needed to help or "dispose" of it, but they would hurry as they dont want to see the suffering of animals either.
Personally, you should edit that part out of your post, cause really all it does is tell people what kinda person you are. Sorry.
I'm not prone to long discussions over forums, so I'll put this in easy to read bullet points.
- No such thing as animal control tending chickens. We do have people who take care of stray dogs and cats and those who take care of the random crocodile waltzing around someone's house, so they can take them to the zoo or release them in the wild, since they're kind of endangered and such.
- It was 10:00 pm. The girl was a teenager who had a role on a school play, the play was still in progress and I had been hired to do backstage work, so I had the time and she didn't (nor the heart, even though it was her fault AND her idea). Nevertheless, it was not a huge window of time to call anyone that late at night to deal with a dying chicken.
- I never would have done such a thing to a puppy or a kitten. Puppies and kittens are cute and fuzzy and when they grow up, they make lovely pets. Chickens are cute and fuzzy but when they grow up, we have them for lunch.
- You can't judge my entire personality on a snippet of information, specially if it's about the most evil thing you've ever done. Do note that I did specify it did not make me proud, in fact, it made me feel quite bad about it, but I also felt bad about letting it endure a slow, agonizing death. I do not pack an euthanizing kit with me at all times and I really wish I could have disposed of it in a better, more humane fashion. Picture yourself in an empty, private school parking lot with a locked gate, dead at night, you being needed in a couple of minutes and with a dying chicken on your hand. Now think of a non-cruel way to end his life.
- I thought of editing my post after Protoss called it disgusting (to be honest, I thought it might cut my chances of winning), but I figured the OP has already read it anyway. If it offends you and others in some sort of way, I've no problem editing it. Like I've said, I'm not very proud about it.
