Arianus: Re-Gen Health No-More Mod?
Talby: It's not the regenerating health itself that bothers me that much, but how gameplay is changed as a result. At its worst, you get a game like Modern Warfare, where the gameplay consists of ducking behind cover, popping up for a few seconds to shoot, ducking again when you are wounded, rince, repeat.
Duke isn't some nancy special forces operative who needs to run away and have a little cry when he gets shot a few times. He ain't got time to bleed.
That gameplay is not the result of a single factor, regenerating health. But a consequence of multiple facts, such as how much damage a character can recieve, how fast they recieve it, and the speed of regeneration.
There's no point in popping in and out of cover if you can take on an entire room without needing the regen.
