I'm not sure what Gamerager's trying to do, but speaking strictly for myself I dislike seeing the front page cluttered with old threads nobody cared about any more.

You can't further a discussion that clearly nobody else in the thread was interested in continuing. If they were then obviously it would have been continued. It's the internet equivalent of trying to pick up a conversation that you overheard other people having a month ago. Talk about faux pas.

To me it was a valid reply and question.

What you call not caring what people think is actually me not getting forced into a mold I don't fit into because others try to force it on me so that their version of hwo the board should be run to make them happy is enforced. What you call polite asking I could also call passive aggressive acting nice on the outside bullshit.

Thing is you can't please everyone, now can you? No matter what one does it will always upset someone. Doing so and causing those few or more to be upset isn't always done as a personal attack against such people nor is it done with disregard to such people, so you can read such things into the acts I or others do but it isn't necessarily true.

I also usually try my best to not step on any toes, yet people always ask for more or find something to get upset over(seemingly for the sake of finding things to complain about, concerning me or anyone else really)....ever hear of giving an inch and being asked for a foot?

BTW on the flip side it seems you think your opinion on thread necroing matters more than mine. Yet you seem to find no problem with it and find fault with my opinion that it's ok on occasion.

Sigh... 'Rager... there is no other reason why it isn't here. Please, you know I don't hate you, right? However, even I have to say, lately you have been... a less than stellar member of the forums. You were doing pretty good until you started necroing threads, and then you went off the deep end again. Please, please, there are so many things I want to say, but I'm thinking better of it, so just... chill a bit.
Don't necro a thread unless something major has changed, or you have a really good reason (I don't like making too many threads about the same thing doesn't count), realize that people only start getting angry and downrepping you when you do something wrong, start being an asshole, or are, in general, not being a good forums member. A few people hate you, yes, but being argumentative doesn't help. In this case, listen to Vestin. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Think before you post.

Not being an asshole, and to be 100% honest if being a "good" forum member means kissing everyone's arse or doing all they want me to do with no consideration from their end, or them bringing up old wounds for no reason other than to harass and force me into compliance, then I'm sorry but I cannot do this. I am enjoying the board as I see fit and have already made concession to end the worst things I do here and other things as well. As I told others don't take this as personal or a slap in the face. I don't do it to stir the pot or cause board drama...it's those who egg me on knowing how i'll react who seem to be starting it in most cases here(those who make multiple replies or those snarky in tone more than civil).

And I DO think before I post....maybe others should take the suggestion others told me here in PM to just ignore such posts I make and not reply to them at all.....or at least to only reply once and then ignore it and not make every such thread about me.
