Hey peeps,
For... er... legal reasons, I know someone who cannot use a normal computer and cannot use any Internet-capable device. Moreover, he's on house arrest for the next eternity. He can't use any current or previous gen systems. He loves old-school and new, and he has tons of old stuff. What he lacks is new stuff.
He used to love playing things like Resident Evil (he's played 1-5) and Left4Dead 1 and 2.
Over the next year, I plan to build him a super-arcade machine. I plan to use computer parts, solder off all of the Internet-able parts, and give him the machine preloaded with a ton of great DRM-free software.
In the end, it will look more or less like an XBOX where you just pop in the HDMI cable and it'll have a few USB-XBOX controllers and a wireless mouse and keyboard (I think I have to hard-wire them into the machine's USB ports).
So, my question to you all: What are some superb DRM-free modern shooters that he can play?
Thanks! I'll bookmark this and come back to it when the project is nearing completion so that I can buy all the licenses I need for the machine.
