The Witcher 2 will save us all.
I've given up going to the BioBoards til after the game is released cause the DA2 general discussion is full of people being stupid enough to put spoilers in their titles. I know it happens all the time on forums but it grates the shit out of me. I know there's a guide out about what covers the leaked version but I have been personally avoiding it to go into the game without knowing anything that isn't officially provided by BioWare. Problem is thanks to people being jerkasses, I already know at least one person that pops up from DAO because they decided to put it in the topic title.

BioWare boards are as much a PR tool as anything, they positively encourage spoilers because they know it generates interest. Priestly likes to say no spoilers please but when was the last time Chris actually deleted a spoiler topic?

That's *exactly* what my issue is. I know it sounds like whining but they have allowed for the game to be preloaded now, they're well aware that the game has leaked and yet they don't plan to put up the spoiler section of the forum til Monday. It's pretty obvious that they don't care about others getting spoiled. I saw a topic yesterday where they just seemed so nonchalant about people putting spoilers in their titles ("Oh, it happens."). I know it's the internet and a lot of people don't care about spoiling things for other people but it seems like the only way I'm going into DA2 with conversation about it and not spoilers is to just stick to this topic.
6 days since I last posted in here about this and I still cant pissin well try it (6 days to get to 92% and no word from microsoft)

Actually, they're moved or locked all the time. Not for DA2 though, since they haven't put up a spoiler forum yet. However, threads are often edited to put Spoiler in the title. The boards are pretty fast moving right now though, so it's tough to catch them all.
Today I almost preordered the game, because I liked the demo, but... then decided to check for last time some forums.
The news for me is that we are getting a DLC on the day one, then in some interview they said that we don't have to worry if the game is too short, they will keep making DLCs to extend our play time.
Sooo 50 euros now, another 10 on day one and 50 more for new DLCs just to be able to play more than 30 hours.
No thanks EA!!!
I am so pissed that I am really thinking of getting the game from some shady places just to piss them.

I am not entirely against DLCs. Make DA2 like Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas, to be able to play 100 hours and then give me a DLC, but they made 30 hour game for the same price and then milk me just to be able to continue.

Please don't do this, as it really sends the wrong message. Instead just find another game to buy that doesn't jerk you around with endless DLC, and then consider buying DA2 later once a GOTY edition is released that incorporates all the DLC and expansions into a single package (with a lower price tag than the original game).
I am not sure if it will give them a wrong message.

They wont stop making games for PC if thats what you are afraid of. :)
Giants like NVIDIA, AMD, Intel wont allow it. Who then is going to buy their products if there is no PC gaming.
Those bastards from EA and Activision understand only when they are hit in their pocket.
Even if they stop making some games for PC it wont be a big deal for me. I prefer a game to be proper made instead of some half baked console port with well known name and couple of hours length.

They just keep ruining games. It is an absolute crap for AAA RPG game to be 30 hours!!!

All started with amazing games like Baldur's gate and it ended now with poor products like Dragon ages.

Forgot to add, I am not going to download it from somewhere either. I lost any passion to play it really. Will probably just look some walkthrough clips over internet and be done with it.

Precisely. Regardless of whether or not it's accurate, the message game companies tend to get when people pirate games is "All these people want our game and would buy it if we could just stop them from pirating it" and as a result we see various ill-conceived methods to try to combat piracy. The message that needs to be sent is "The product you're offering is not worth the price you're asking, and there are other products which are a better deal that I'd rather buy."

The same NVIDIA, AMD and Intel that make the components of Xbox360's, PS3's and Wii's? Trust me if the PC died tomorrow those three companies wouldn't give a shit. They spend no time in championing the PC and all their time getting their names as advertising in games.

I know they care for nothing but their selves. I am saying that not any console user changed any part of his console for the last 5 years, same time every gamer buys from time to time if not twice a year new part.
So if they want to sell their new processor or video card there should be games to make the gamers buy it.

Now I read even more things for DA2 and I am utterly disappointed and I was from those who defended the demo.
No outfitting the companions, skills are dumbed down, one doesn't even have to read the conversation but just check the icon of them. :(

Thank god for early previews although some of them score the game at 94/100 or something.

Then dont buy it but crucially dont pirate it. Just abstain.
Well I wont pirate it, but seeing how many people are pissed I bet many will and since the story is short I doubt any one of those pirates will buy it after even on sale.

If the DLCs are like DA:O, 1-2 hours.... Compared to Fallout New Vegas Dead money DLC, took me more than 11 hours for 10 euros.

Trust me anyway they will whine that the pirates are the reason their game sucks.

GameInformer's article. The more I read about DA2, the more I regret pre-ordering it. Almost every point it points out refers to something dumbed down.
We all know about 1&2+the whole racial thing, point 3&4 is something I don't know and definitely killed me a alot reading it this morning. Point 6 is something I need the full game to judge. Point 7, I guess I'm neutral. Point 8, either the writer is incredibly sarcastic or just wanna butter up the game because to me the ME conversation wheel is horrible, I much prefer to read the conversation choices. Point 10, 40 hours is shit pathetic, I took 99 hours on DAO.

Damn EA, I hope you die horribly. Then again, I've been hoping for 7 years.
