It's hard to find playmates here, even for freakin' chess.
However I used to play knowledge-based board games
"Czech Republic" and
"Europe" with friends a year ago. It was fun. Everyone knows more about something specific and it really shows there. Unsurprisingly, almost everyone kept failing at sport questions, lol. I'm not sure if something like that is made in Poland, though.
We still have "Heart Attack" game at home but nobody wants to play it. They said it's too depressive for them. The point is balancing between unhealthy life-style (party, weeds, drinking) and healthy life-style (sport, relax at home).
I would love to try Carcassonne one day. Or even more, role-playing World of Darkness. I know, I know, it isn't same genre but it's a social game with identical troubles to find *someone* to play it with.
The biggest problem for me is that in the case of games like Carcassonne, it's ""too videogamey" for non-tech friends. And games like Monopoly is "too party-like" game for my tech friends. Or they just live in a different city.
Be sure to tell how what you liked to play, keeveek. :)
