Ghorpm: You know what was my first thought? Such an old egg must stink horribly! And that's my prime concern. I'm afraid Dizzy is one of those games which just shouldn't be remade. I hope they will prove me wrong though... "Time only knows" ;)
Puzzle-platformers have been pretty popular in the indie scene since Braid, I'd say now (or at least a couple years back :D) would be a great time to revive the Dizzy franchise... as long as they don't do something incredibly stupid with it. Being the Oliver Twins I'm sure they won't (EDIT: after watching the KS vid, it doesn't look like they're gonna screw up the usual formula, only adding to it).
Only problem I see is that puzzle-platformers might be getting a little saturated now. I'm not really sure how well all the games in the genre are doing, if some of the better looking ones are struggling and not being as successful as the devs realistically hoped... or whatever.
