fr33kSh0w2012: 1. I was sick of LOSING AWESOME weapons in that game plus it was Boring as hell until you get the car but the car breaks in like ten hits that is Pure BS
2. I got an Awesome Spiked Mace the one the nun gives you in the church I modded The Bejeesus out of it upgraded it to the NINES then while using it I got killed by a Battering RAM and Presto My fully Awesome Electric Flaming ACID Tactical galaxy destroying mace simply Vanished without a Trace I WAS MORE THEN PISSED! haven't seriously played the game after the church part Fuck it if I'm gonna Loose fully souped up the only reason I used it is when I threw it it used to kill a ram and or a bloater in ONE HIT!!
1. Dont remember any car problem like that tbh, but I could be having a senior moment :)
2. You got a mace had four upgrades dots and a mod, not exactly "modded the beejeesus" material really.....But... you "threw" at a ram????
Why would you throw a weapon at a ram, they charge, you doge, turn around and whack them on the back, they are dead.
As regards losing it, yeah it happened to me, very rarely, but blunts bounce off enemies, they dont stick, so it could have bounced off the ram and was laying somewhere you couldnt see it easily, but either way, yeah you could lose a weapon, but for me anyway, I could maybe think of two occasions it happened me in about 150 hours of gameplay of DI.
Either way, you wouldnt enjoy DI:R, it's basically the same game.....Oh, yeah FWIW, I threw a baseball bat at a mine yesterday and it clipped through a wall into the next room.
MikeMaximus: Just finished it tonite finally. Had lots of fun and was worth the money.
Ran into the dreaded new game bug after finishing however. I got dropped on the island with no quests and the loading screen showed the tutorial. Luckily my friend's saves didn't bug and i was able to join their game from there, dump all my gear and items in the stash, then go do the tutorial again and not have my inventory wiped out.
Pheace: From what I read that's how the New Game was supposed to be? You just needed to get to Paradise from that point I think.
fr33kSh0w2012: MENTAL PROBLEMS!
Pheace: To sum that post up.
I've heard of this bug and just to clarify what Pheace said.
From IGN
•You start on the beach with Castaway (you don't play through the ship again).
•All your items on your person and in Henry's storage are accessible (Henry can be accessed even while fighting zombies ... note that this is better on Single-Player mode, when the game actually pauses during menus).
•Team quests results are not saved / carried over.
•Your skills / weapon mastery are kept (derp).
•If you decide to start a New Game with the same character, you can chapter select and start at a pre-set level (increases as you go up in chapters) but all your missions (sides, continuous, team) are reset.
•Collectibles are carried over. Items you got for collectibles will not re-appear on your side of a co-op or SP game.
