retro_gamer: First CRISIS was EPIC, second was weak, easy, and boring, also there was a lot of graphic and AI bugs, and the ending was...oh sorry, there was no ending, the game just ended. :/ I was hoping they will make CRISIS 3 more like the first one and WARHEAD but seeing the return to New York, and all those weak looking aliens just makes me sad. :(((

taczillabr: but now there are 7 types of environments, that may end up being pretty cool don't you think? Jungles and all that, while inside NYC.
If they'll make it open like the first CRYSIS then I'll be happy. And yes, I want jungle, lots of it. ^_^
Thought the RPS article on the setting of Crysis 3 would be worth a mention: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/04/25/crytek-on-fusing-crysis-1-crysis-2-and-district-9/

And...apparently you play as Prophet in this game. Huh? Didn't he die at the beginning of Crysis 2?
you know, when the trailer said "The Greatest city on Earth" I immediately thought to myself: "wow, Crysis is changing locations? Sweet! So, where is the game going to take place? London? Moscow? Paris?"

Then I laughed when I realized that they meant New York, but I can't Blame EA's marketing team, gotta sell that game to those BillyBob Americans

Also: What already is confirmed that's new apart from the bow? because so far this look just like a slightly modified Crysis 2

Didn't you hear? Gunshots to the Head don't kill people

They just leave a little scratch, apparently that's what Crytek thinks

In all seriousness - what the hell? This is like Templar coming back in Killzone 3 saying: "lol, just kidding guys, i wasn't really dead"

Thanks for the link, and indeed you do play as Prophet.
I am going to be honest. I haven't played the first Crysis mainly due to a weak computer and not having a constant internet connection for the console port. I loved Crysis 2 but after fighting the Ceph for those last few hours it wore out on me. Still, the game is fast and fucking beautiful. And the trailer had me wanting more since I like bows as well AND you play as Prophet, who committed suicide 20 years ago in the 2nd game. My only complaints are the game seems to be lacking human soldiers and the whole nanodomes or whatever it is seems to be an absurd plot device so they have an excuse to make the environments in the game. I still can't wait :D

Make sure you play the first one when you can, on a PC. It is easily the best shooter out there in terms of game mechanics and graphics.

So I've been told. Only complaints I heard were hiding in bushes and the enemy AI was glitchy sometimes.

Depends on how you look at it. I really dislike games that put maximum view distance on enemies, and as a result, they cannot see you behind a tree (seriously, can you can behind a tree in real life, and fool your 'enemy'?) or if you're 100 meters away from them (because their view distance is set to 98 meters). Most gamers have been spoiled by blind AI, the one in Crysis at least is more realistic.

Ah.
I dunno...

Will probably be a good game. But as with Crysis 2, the only thing I can think about when seeing footage of this is how much I wish Crytek would have stuck with the wide open tropical setting.

Since when do console downloaded games require this?
So i gather this is going to be a console port? Oh my if so how the mighty have fallen since the original came out...

Like most games today.

Like most companies today.

$$$ speaks louder than anything.
And console > pc in that regard.

It's around 4GB of downloadliness, so a stable connection is a bit of a must.

Constant infers more than that, but if that is what he meant okay.
