Have been patiently waiting for this promotion, and despite having 2 of the games o disc already, like Pokemon, I have to have (buy, this is capitalism) them all!
Thanks GOG. Can't wait to get back into action with Tex.

LePerros: How are these games? Are they good fun, fascinating story, interesting gameplay?
Hey LePerros,
Personally I've found them some of the best adventure games ever created. The subsequent games, after Mean Streets, are all FMV, and, to me at least, some of the best incorporation of FMV into a game... the Tex Murphy series was an example of the wonderful integration of core gameplay mechanics and FMV.
In relation to story and puzzles. My memory is a little fuzzy on the details, as its been over a decade since I last played them, but, that being said, I seem to recall that the stories were gripping and extremely well-written. The characters are unforgetable; Tex Murphy is a chap that will remain with you for the rest of your life, with his cool noir attitude undercut by his comic failures at, well, pretty much everything. One could perhaps call him a loveable gum-shoe that's missing a shoe :P
Gameplay: again hazy in my memory but its a blend between puzzle solving, point and click, first person exploration and time-based problems. The developers really blended the genres well in the games to create something quite unique in my opinion. I can't ever recall being bored in the game due to its mechanics and often found the puzzles and world interaction enthralling. And unlike typical point'n'clicks, the FMV games (don't know about Mean Streets) has a built-in hint system, so if you're stuck, at least there is a way to pull yourself out of the mire :)
Honestly, I think you would be hard-pressed to find a series of games which are so captivating for the price that GOG is offering them for in this promotion. I hope this has helped :)
