Yes, Halo is a shooter, and aiming is quite terrible on a gamepad, adding artificial difficulty and even necessitating auto-aiming. However, analogue movement controls on a gamepad are much better than the binary controls of a keyboard, and the aiminig isn't
so bad that you can't get used to it. Thus it's perfectly reasonable for someone to accept or even
prefer a gamepad. I can't stand it, personally. It's interesting that you can always spot game videos of FPS games played on XBox because even experienced players move like awkward robots.
