Woah. Social scholarship doesn't take one freakin' place for good students away, giving it to a poor one. It's to allow good students actually going to study, without the need of having rich parents to pay for it - that still helps a lot, but isn't a necessity. It's been brought up to give all good students a chance, instead of just the wealthy ones.
You're missing the point.

There is one budget for scholarships, both social and that for best students. There were divided 50-50

now they will be divided 75-25 in favor of social scholarships. Less good students will receive scholarships, because more will be given to poor ones.

Which automatically excludes best students from applying for social scholarships (where the better students are still favored over bad ones)?

Yes, when your salary (or your parents) is ONE PENNY higher than maximum for social scholarship. Which in Poland is 300 euros/month for entire family. You earn a nickle more, and you don't receive anything. I don't have to tell then you're pretty much fucked?

I prefer promoting good students NO MATTER how wealth they are, instead of promoting these that are JUST poor.

Promoting a moron (and he won't finish his studies anyway) because he's just poor? Waste of money.

And the answer will prove what?

Ps. Still supporting socialism (or modern comunism) after large financial crisis in Ireland? :-)

And before the poor ones were pretty much fucked, regardless of how good they were, as they couldn't pay for it. The wealthy ones always had their chance to study, regardless of how good they were (a famous ex-president comes to mind).

Now, if the 50-50 or 75-25 are better is debattable and something I (as a foreigner without much contact in Poland) can't say. However I'd have to ask, if you have any prove of morons / stupid people being able to study because of that, or if this is (what I suspect) political trashtalk without anything behind it to back it up.

Sure, who wouldn't? But wasn't that a fundamental principle of communism?

OMG. It was greedy CAPITALISM that caused the latest financial crisis. Not socialism, not communism, no... it... really... was... CAPITALISM.

Higher education in Poland is free, public one that is.

More irritating fact with social scholarship is that a great deal of it goes not to the really poor ones, but to those who will fake the needed paperwork. And that's really easy to do. (But that's just faulty administration for you).

There's no such thing as communism. Yes, the people in the countries that have had so called communist regimes were simply lied to and mislead, but it was never, nor ever would have been communism. It's simply impossible for communism to exist.

On many faculties at least half of students are kicked away after first or second year because they failed all exams.

I really need to prove that there are MANY MORONS in STATE schools?

Capitalism in 2010's Ireland. OMG :D

Last my post in here, I just DIED.
