Oh it's not one of those things where she's been a friend for many years and I've always secretly loved her type of thing. She's my friends roommate, and my friend has been working on getting me and her roommate hooked up. We saw an opera last night, so I think things are on the right track.

Ah, yeah that would be different. Wasn't quite envisioning the friends for years secretly loved her always thing. That one always winds up badly. Sometimes though you end up falling for a friend, and that usually ends badly.

Unfortunately the only one I've tried is rather context specific. I was talking to my now girlfriend at a wine tasting I was helping to run for our apartment and the next night we were holding mixer that was color coded with Green - for single and looking, Yellow - for "It's complicated", and Red - for already in a relationship/not looking. Yes I know, already pretty cheesy. Anyway, I asked her:

"Are you going as a green tomorrow?" She said yes. I followed with: "Would you like to go as a red?"
