Thanks!

"When learning to fly, bouncing does NOT count." - best message yet!
You should do some tactic of ratio of donation to height of popping the chute, if you only had 5 quid you'd pop it a few seconds after leaving the plane but if you met or exceeded expectations you'd do a HALO jump

Lol, how about I forget the parachute and just tether the nearest building / tree Just Cause 2 style?

On a related note, just got the latest newsletter about the jump and spotted this:

If you want to have a DVD of your jump you can order one on the day for £95.

Should I go for it and post the video here afterwards?

Ok, if I raise £95 or more from the GOG community, then I'll pay for the DVD so you can all have a laugh at my expense!

I should point out that the jump itself has already been paid for, so all contributions now go directly to Help A London Child.

Yes, Paypal is fine.

I spewed my tea all over my keyboard when I saw the amount you donated! Thankyou so much - that really is an incredible act of generosity.

Somebody buy this man a GOG!

EDIT: Your donation is now showing on www.doitforcharity.com/Nicholas - thanks again for your amazing act of kindness! I'm still stunned!

Best of luck - I left you some key Hitch Hikers advice regarding flying. Be sure to try it.

EDIT: Bloody cookie dependent websites - are you able to tell if that payment went through?

I just checked; nothing's come through so you shouldn't have been charged.

I know the site's not the greatest, but apparently the charity gets more money using doitforcharity.com, rather than justgiving.com - not convinced, but that's who Skyline (the company organising the skydives) recommended.

EDIT: Duh! It's because they own doitforcharity.com, as pointed out in my original post!

Lol, great quote - I think I'll have to re-read the books at some point!

I seem to be repeating myself alot in this thread, but thankyou very much for your generosity!

Update: I have now received confirmation that I'll be doing my skydive on the afternoon of Sunday 17th October; it's all become a bit real now!

Thanks to the generosity of the GOG community, I have already exceeded my fundraising target, but if you still want to contribute you are more than welcome to:

www.doitforcharity.com/Nicholas

All monies raised go directly to Help A London Child.

6 days to go!!
