cogadh: I don't think there is anything we can say clearly about this most recent delay, they didn't provide anything resembling details. You could be right, the mod did need more than just some final polish, but at the same time, other ideas suggested here could be right, Valve may have stuck their noses in and caused a delay. In the absence of any confirmation of either, we can only jump to conclusions, most of which are probably completely wrong.
Navagon: They are being very vague, yes. But if the mod is done and it's purely a business arrangement that is causing the delay then they could have worded their vagueness in a way that indicated that.
True, their vagueness does lean towards the side of unfinished work rather than business issues, but we all know how the video game industry works: when business gets involved, you must misdirect the public because for some stupid reason, they can't be allowed to know when negotiations are happening. Considering that in the past, Valve has only really gotten involved in mods after they have been released and proved popular, that does seem to be the less likely cause of the delay.
Ah well, like I said, this is all just speculation and honestly, whether or not this mod is released now or next year or at all matters little to me, I've got plenty of other games to occupy my time until it does come out... if it comes out. If it does come out, I will play it, if it doesn't, I'll just play something else.
cogadh: I thought that was the KotOR mod, TSLRP.
pops117: I have been checking the website + forums at least once a week for the past years. I admire how you're like the only remaining Mod on the forums.
Ironically since the other restoration mod is out, I've not found the time to actually play the game. Ah... well.
Don't tell anyone, but I haven't actually been to the site in over a month, I needed a break from all the drama.
EDIT - Damn broken quote system
